I was teaching IP classes in Hwa Chong Institution til early 2023. I taught in Queenstown secondary school from 2019-2020 and got posted to Hwa Chong Institution in 2021-2023. Over the years, i have also been teaching tuition to some students from secondary to JC levels. All my students shown improvement in their grades in their respective national exams. I have around 4 months of online teaching experience, helping Primary School students with their homework as a volunteer tutor of Heartware Network. I actively looked for online resources to give them extra practice. I asked them questions regularly to check up on their progress and patiently clarified their doubts.  For my work attachment programme, I worked as a teacher assistant in T.E.A.M student care for about two months. From my working experience I learnt how to handle children and engage them. I also have 3 months of experience as a peer tutor in JC. I taught my tutee H2 mathematics and her grades improved from an S in Prelims to a B in A levels. I am also currently teaching a JC1 student H2 Mathematics and H2 Physics. As I have just completed my A levels, the requirements of each subjects are still fresh in my mind. I am also able to empathize with my tutee and motivate them to study while taking care of their mental health. I'm confident that I will be able to pass on my knowledge to my tutee and ensure that they do well. My teaching style: I will be in pace with what my student is learning in school so that my teachings are like a revision for my student to remember what they learnt in school better. I will help with my student's homework and provide extra practice questions relevant to what he/she is learning in school. A summary will be done together after the learning of each topics of a particular subject. Practice questions related to the topic will also be given to consolidate my student's learning of the topic. Nearing exam periods, practice papers will be provided for extra practice.
