For home tuition, my students are from Feng Shan primary, and Tampines primary. Patience and adaptability are some of the qualities I possess. I was adaptable to the many types of education that I had to go through. I attended both the local school and international school when I lived in Taiwan for some time when I was 10, and changed from an O level school to IP when I was 15. My patience can be seen in the fact that I did not stress or struggle much, but instead took things calmly. I believe that these two values are important when teaching a student. I feel that I am a more-hands on tutor. I believe that doing something will allow a student to understand the concept more. For example, in math, practice is important and tools such as models and physical objects like toys and stationery can be used for visual learning. I also do not believe in pure memorisation. I feel that through understanding, a student can save a lot of time memorising and is able to use the methods and concepts more wisely.
