Having accumulated 7 to 8 years of teaching experience from teaching Primary 2 to Secondary 2, I am comfortable to come up with myriad of teaching strategies coupled with my training based in Developmental Psychology and Cognitive Psychology, I am able to facilitate better learning in a comfortable environment for your child. I have taught various students from Jun Yuan Primary and have aced his subjects last year. I have also taught a pair of siblings which have switched tutors and of all his tutors, I was the only tutor that guided the weaker one to attain top in Math and also helping them to subsequently achieving good progress award (as commented by the parents). It was indeed a boost to their confidence and self-esteem. I have also taught in Sheng academy to group of 3 to 5 students of levels ranging from lower primary to lower secondary and have seen improvements in their grades. My ex students have experienced accelerated improvements (one to two grades) in their understandings of the topics taught and they were able to link and apply the concepts well. Trying to understand how their mind learn and figure out things is one of my main roles. I also work closely with parents and monitor their progress and provide studying strategies to intervene at a different level. Occasionally, I do supplement the lesson with some useful worksheets that would enhance their learning. I am committed and passionate in teaching as I believe that there is an potential in every child to be unleashed and it takes just a person to believe in them. I have done relief teaching at Tanjong Katong Girls’ School for lower secondary science too years back.

Some of them started in sec 1 mid year whereas some came only in sec 2. Their average was around B4 since some had C5 and some B3. I have 7 years of experience and am bilingual (English and Chinese). I have students from SJI and River Valley high taking higher chinese. And Saint Andrew’s and other neighbourhood school taking G3 and G2 chinese Taught and prepared 6 PSLE students this year and 7 PSLE students last year. I have also have 7 students from Chong fu, naval base and northland primary school. They are all doing well, all are scoring AL2 and above Most of them started with borderline pass or even failing, and by N/O Levels and Prelims, they were at least getting Bs.
