I started part-time tutoring since I was 18 years old and have tutored multiple primary school students, including PSLE students. Had to take a break for a few years due to my full-time work commitments though parents had requested that I continue tutoring their children. Many parents have asked me to tutor their children during the few years of break. Would like to start back tutoring and impart as much knowledge as I can to the children, especially with the rising demands in their academic journey.

Students generally have seen grade jumps of >5 grades within months of teaching and i aim to instill the joy of learning by distilling tough concepts into a easy to understand form and imparting my students analysis skills so that they can learn to learn on their own! Also have one semester experience as MOE Relief Teacher which honed my classroom management abilities.

I do relief tutoring at a tuition centre at hougang, they come from schools like Xinmin sec, Hougang sec and Holy innocents high as well. I also do private tutoring for primary and secondary school pupils. My students usually get minimum B3 to A1, and those scoring from C5 to B4 i will definitely try to push to at least A2. For students who are failing i will make sure they understand all the basic concepts before trying to push their grades up to B3 and above. I had 1 yr experience as a volunteer tutor under heartware's organisation tutoring programme. I tutored primary 6 kids at wellington primary for 1 year to prepare them for their PSLE. I am an extremely patient and easygoing tutor who is approachable and friendly. My main goal is to ensure I value add to my tutees by ensuring they gain a greater appreciation and understanding of the subject content after each lesson. I would like to influence my tutees with my passion for the sciences, and let them appreciate the beauty of the subject, motivating them to be willing to go the extra mile with me to achieve the results they deserve. I enjoy using analogies and anecdotes to help my tutees visualise the subject content better, many of my students have benefited from this and gave feedback that it really enhanced their learning. I plan to take advantage of these kinds of unique teaching tools and tailor my lessons to each individual student to maximise their learning and instill in them a sense of confidence in tackling their examinations.
