I have been giving home tuition to children for primary school maths and science as well as E Math and Chemistry for about 2 years now. The reason why my students are successful is because I know when to be strict and when to be friendly. They have to feel comfortable so that they are not afraid of asking questions but I’m definitely more strict when it comes to homework and practice papers as the fastest way to improve is through practice. I make my own practice papers so that students are familiar with question types outside of the syllabus and are not fazed when unfamiliar questions pop up for PSLE as seen from the trend these past years. They have all been scoring grades equal to or higher than AL 2. I also have some recommended textbooks that they have to purchase for classes as well.

I am a Finance Professional with an FRM Degree Charter Holder and ~10yrs of teaching experience in economics/econometrics/finance/applied quant subjects for students across the globe (mostly in US/UK based universities). I taught 5-6 IB students in India for both Business and Economics. Familiar with the IB syllabus and exam format I believe in teaching economics in the most conceptual manner with thorough understanding of the topics and emphasis on logical clarity with applications and assignments. The subject can be best enjoyed only when there is correct guidance and application based learning where you understand concepts with examples, applications and case studies.
