I have been tutoring over 4 years and currently have 7 students (private tuition) Recent students: - has been failing all the way from p3 to WA1 in p5 before I started teaching, managed to pass and get 21/30 in recent WA2 (angsana primary) - ⁠from previously failing in p3 to 23/25 in p4 (edgefield primary) I was volunteering previously and coached children (pri) from underprivileged families for a period. There were improvements based on my understanding but not sure of the initial/final grades. While my grades have been decent all along, I have had my fair share of failures where I failed certain subjects and even important examinations throughout my 12 years of education. As such, I’m convinced I can better relate to how your children may feel/understand what they may be going through, provide the needed encouragement to motivate them and allow them to strive for their best.

I taught in kumon teaching centre and other freelance teaching in home tuition. Students profiles: - i’ve tutored P1 english, math, chinese, p5 english and chinese, sec 1 chinese - p1 had no exams so it was more homework helping and reading - p5 students went from a fail to a pass for their mid terms - sec 1 chinese went from a fail to pass for her composition and oral I would first understand my students’ needs as well as get an estimated gauge on their level of understanding depending on the subject. Interacting with the student to know their preferred learning style and attitude towards learning would also be essential and covered in the first lesson. Afterward, targeting the various aspects that need the most help would be where i start teaching from. I have tutored math, chinese and english for a primary 2 student previously, experience in tutoring upper primary in chinese and english, and experienced tutoring at Kumon (tuition centre). I have given tips in chinese to help my students better formulate their thoughts and writing, bringing them from failing compositions to passing grades.

Hello! I'm Izzah, a Business undergraduate at a local university with a background in Communications, with an aim to help students excel in their studies.
