I was in Bukit Panjang Government High School in the last 5 years teaching Geography, History and NT Social Studies. Currently I just joined an IB international school teaching the same subjects. I have taught various levels and various profile of students. My key approach is to ignite students' interest and passion in the subject through creative methods which enable students to see the relevance of the subject in their daily life. Besides that I also use ICT to enhance the learning experience and exemplify the 21st Centuries competencies that MOE is promoting. I also had a short stint previously as an equity trader and have picked up some basic python programming skills which could also be applied to education. - 2 years experience teaching Primary Science and Secondary Chinese. -For my primary 4 and 5 science students many of their grades improved from AL5 to AL3 and there are students who used to fail Science and after tuition, managed to pass the subject -Another Sec 1 Chinese tutee managed to improve 2 grades after 4 months of tuition -My teaching method is to find out the student's preferred learning style and tailor the lessons accordingly.
