I have 9 years of teaching experience, 4-5 years in MOE schools, 2 years 8 months in a British International school. I have been teaching Primary and Secondary Chinese tuition since my university days (NTU Chinese) back in 2009. I taught in these schools: Tanglin Secondary School in 2009 Concord Primary School 2014-2015 Qifa Primary School 2016-2018 The Perse School (Singapore) 2019-2022 I helped a Primary 5 girl improve from last in class to first within 4 months, and then improving from second class to first class in express stream from Sec 1 to Sec 2. I have also helped 2 pupils attain Good Progress Awards when I was teaching in one of the renowned MOE Primary Schools in 2018. I was nominated “Most Caring Teacher Award” in the same year and given “Best Teacher Award” privately by a student in the British International school in 2021.

I was / am involved in the primary education of my four children. My youngest is now P4. As such, I am quite conversant with the four core primary school subjects, especially Math, and the methods used. I have also taught Chemistry for a student who is doing Combined Science (Chem/Bio). Her grade for Science improved quite a lot from Sec 2 to Sec 3 but I believe a student's willingness to learn and put in hard work is an important factor. I sometimes help my Sec 3 child in areas of Sciences and Math.
