I have taught in Kumon Math from p1 to Sec4 for 6 months I am currently teaching a Sec 3 Student I have taught 2 Sec 2 boys math and science and 1 P6 math as volunteering for a year I am also currently teaching a O- level student Emath as well as a Sec 2NA student math. For Science, I have taught 3 Sec 2 boys Science for 1.5 years. One of the boys has improved from U to B4 for science in 1.5 months. I have 3 years experience teaching lower primary to upper primary and lower secondary to upper secondary students. I currently have 8 students for chinese subject. I also conduct a group tuition of 3 to 4 students at my home for chinese subject. After giving tuition to a sec 1 non-chinese girl, her grades improved from E8 to C5. Another example is a sec 4 girl, her grades improved from B3 to A1. On average, the students I taught and am currently teaching improved one to two grades. I love to make lessons enjoyable and engaging for my students, but can be strict when needed. My lessons are usually student-centered as I focus on my students’ capabilities, pace and needs. I am also very patient and keep a positive attitude to encourage and bring consistency for my students. So far, the students I taught improved at least one to three grades. I have one year of experience in teaching upper secondary Maths, my students’ grade have improved after my explanation and teachings, as they have grasped the concept and able to apply it with logical thinking. I believed in making students understand or visualize or internalize the concept first when come to maths, rather than putting memorizing the formulas as the first priority though it is necessary. Practice is also an important factor to excel in this subject. About my academic background, I have graduated from NTU with degree in Accountancy. I have also earned my chartered financial analyst (CFA) in 2007. For my GCE A level, I have major in maths C (A), accounting (A) and economics (A). In addition, I have scored A1 for both my E maths and A maths in my GCE O level.

I have been providing primary school and secondary school Chinese and Higher Chinese tuition since Nov 2020. I used to teach in a tuition centre from November 2020 to June 2020, and I am currently providing private tuition. My current P6 student (focusing on composition) scored 23/40 in 2021 before tuition (which started in Dec 2021), and he scored 31.5/40 for his latest exam in June. My current S3 student scored 9/20 for short composition (实用文) and 60% for comprehension in May 2021 (before tuition), and she scored 14/20 for short composition and 75% for comprehension in her 2021 End-of-Year exam.
