I am a current undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a proven track record of 2 years of tutoring experience. During this time, I have taught a diverse range of subjects to both local and international students, from primary level Mathematics and Science to secondary level E-Maths, A-Maths, and Physics. I am proud to say that I have tutored a total of 8 students, all of whom have achieved excellent grades of A for their Math and Science subjects. My academic background is equally impressive. At the O-Level, I pursued Triple Pure and Double Math subject combinations, and at the Polytechnic level, I excelled in my studies, achieving A to AD* grades across 25 modules. Additionally, I pursued a Certificate in Advanced Engineering Mathematics (CAEM), which is a university-level course. As a Peer Tutor to my course mates, I was also paid for my tutoring services. Furthermore, I am fluent in Chinese and am capable of teaching Chinese at a primary to adult level. At the O-Level, I achieved outstanding results for Chinese, attaining an A1 and a Distinction for my Oral. During my Polytechnic internship, I gained valuable experience translating corporate and engineering documents from English to both Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and even received a scholarship from the internship company. Aside from my academic achievements, I have a keen interest in global affairs, particularly Singapore-China relations. I was awarded the Certificate in China Readiness (CCR) Scholarship and attended prestigious institutions such as Dalian University, Shanghai University, and Alibaba Business School to deepen my understanding. Finally, I have received admission offers from several leading universities, including Nanyang Technological University, University of Manchester, University of Bristol, and King's College London. I will be pursuing either General Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Management in one of these institutions.

I also collaborated with teacher-in-charge to devise specific lesson plans to cater to each student's learning pace and ability. I was also a Homework Helper for Jimmy Maths, answering secondary schoop math homework queries through WhatsApp for over 100 students. I provided timely answers to the students' queries. In addition, I proofread worksheets and their solutions for Jimmy Maths.

I am currently a Psychology PhD student at Singapore Management University. I have prior experience in teaching English and Mathematics at the Primary 1 and 5 levels. Previously for my Primary 1 kid, he was facing language delays, attention difficulties, and could not count above 10. It is heartening that after learning about his interests and building a rapport, he was able to count much better and had even taken a liking to learn new spelling words on his own. I also provided advice to his parents on how to guide him with homework when there were no tuition classes. I am a strong believer that learning, especially with young kids, has to be engaging and not forced through memorisation only. Where possible, my lessons will be curated based on MOE's curriculum as well as the child's needs, and made to be interactive and productive.
