I have helped classmate to improve from a fail to an A for both E- and A-math in one semester in Sec 4 while in Nan Hua High School. I also have experience in tutoring primary school students for 2 months as well as secondary school students for 3 months. I was in Chinese Debate club and represented Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) in the inter-school debate competition and won the first place. I took Chinese Language and Literature as one of my H2 subjects in HCI and was in MOE Chinese Language Elective Program (CLEP). I am patient and is able to customize according to every student's needs so as to spark their interest in the subjects, making the subjects less daunting and boring.

Currently I am teaching at GRACE OASIS COUNSELLING SERVICES as an English teacher. I was also an adjunct teacher at these schools: - CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL (SEC 3), SCHOOL OF THE ARTS (SEC 2), PAYA LEBAR METHODIST GIRLS (SEC 1) , HOLY INNOCENTS’ HIGH (SEC 2 AND 4) AND DEYI SECONDARY SCHOOL (SEC 1), DEYI SECONDARY SCHOOL I was a secondary school teacher with the Ministry of Education for 5 years before leaving to pursue a Masters in Counselling. Upon graduation and obtaining a Masters of Arts in Counselling, I worked with Feiyue Family Service Centre as a counsellor and trainer. As a trainer, I conducted workshops for couples who were intending to get married but underaged. I also carried out training sessions with transnational couples. These trainings took place mainly over Zoom during the pandemic. It was rewarding building rapport with my participants and getting good feedback from them. I also worked as an adjunct lecturer at the Singapore Polytechnic School of Life Skills and Communications for a year. I conducted lessons on effective communication and interpersonal skills to polytechnic students. It was enriching teaching these students as they were eager to learn and found the topic applicable and beneficial. Most recently, I ended my one-year contract as a Flexi-Adjunct Teacher with a local secondary school to focus on my family. I am passionate about working with youths and young adults and am comfortable with public speaking.

I specialise in Primary and Secondary School Math I have 15 students under me from 2023-2025. I previously had 5 Upper Secondary E & A Math student under me. Many improved from a range of E8/D7 to B3 in the span of 2 months under my guidance. Now they maintain an A2 going on A1! In 2023, I had 2 P6 students who both did very well in PSLE, with one of them scoring a AL2 and the other scoring a AL1! I enjoyed my time teaching them and will be moving on to teach them for Secondary School as well! One of my best students (Jaden) maintained at an A2 for his E Math throughout Secondary 4 and an B3 for his A Math with him scoring A1 for A Math for his prelims before his O Levels! We are currently awaiting for his O Level result I have math formula cheat sheets that can better facilitate the learning and application of formulas for my students. For my past experiences, I would use the materials they have in their own school and TYS papers to further emphasize on the idea of Practicing, especially for the subject of Math.

Dear Students and Dear Parents! I am an experienced chemical biologist, having more than 20 years of experience in the science field. Teaching is my passion, and I enjoy tutoring voluntarily. I taught students in Germany and India. It is a challenge to find tutors with both; industrial and academic backgrounds, and knowledge of chemistry as well as biology. I excelled in high school, having received all A's and above for GCSE's and a perfect 45 IB score. I took my IB Diploma from Sevenoaks School in UK. I completed my high school education in prestigious boarding schools in the U.K. My higher levels taken were Maths, Physics, Economics and my standard levels were German B, English: Lit, Chemistry. I'm a Swiss National, studying in Singapore for undergraduate. Should your goals be to land a spot in a prestigious school, I would be able to train you in all areas as I understand the processes extensively, including training for interviews. I mentioned being a Swiss National because my understanding of German extends beyond what I had learnt in high school, I am basically fluent with B1 certificate, and hoping to get a C1 certificate soon. I taught underprivileged kids who are struggling in school for a community service project for 1 year. I taught primary 1-6 and with each lesson they did better on the mock papers. In JC, I taught chemistry to my juniors as part of a school project as well. With the best improvement being 74/100 to 89/100. Students are generally receptive to my teachings and are usually quite happy and excited to see me. I tend to cater my teachings around the syllabus and then focus on what the students are weakest in. Students are rather receptive to my style of teaching as I try to find different ways to help them understand. I am also available to answer questions outside of tutoring timings and respond quickly especially when coming to exam season. I also do not mind coming more often for exam seasons if they require more help.
