I started off by teaching my peers when I was a secondary school student and continue in teaching one another even during the University days. This form of teaching and learning has helped me to become more confident in teaching others as not only did I learn to teach others but also to teach them well. That must have been one of the reasons why I started thinking of teaching and helping other students. One thing for sure is that I always ensure that they have gotten the foundations right before going on to apply the concepts they have just learnt well. With more practice, they will master the way of answering many different question types and get familiar with them.

I track students' records constantly to ensure that they have improved their grades and that they are coping well with other subjects as well. The students I taught improved their grades from borderline pass to an A/B within 2 to 3 months.

I enjoy teaching tuition and I always ensure that my students have a summary of the concepts for the different topics so that they can apply these concepts to the different question types. I feel that private tuition plays a very important role in monitoring a student's progress in their studies.

I have 10 years experience teaching children aged 4 to 9. I have been teaching in a childcare and kindergarten for the past 10 years focusing on Phonetic awareness, English and Mathematics. At the same time, Ive been a part time tutor coaching children age up to 9, focusing mainly on English and Mathematics.
These children began without any knowledge or awareness of Phonetic sounds. After tutoring them for about 2 months, they were able to blend sounds and form at least a three-letter word. eg cat.
