In the 6 years of teaching tuition, I have encountered a wide range of students with various capabilities and interest levels. I believe in working closely with my students to help them identify how best to approach subjects that they lack confidence in for thereby enabling them to attain the results they want. Examples: (a) I taught a JC student who was comfortably getting a 'B' for General Paper but did not know how to progress to an 'A'. By enabling her to refine her answers further and tackle exams effectively, I assisted her in attaining an 'A' during A Level exams. (b) I enabled one of my JC students to develop confidence in dealing with H2 History - a subject she was convinced she would never pass. From consistently failing, she went on to get a 'B' during A Levels. (c) A secondary 4 student I taught was initially unable to wrap her head around humanities and was stressed not knowing how to approach humanities subject. I helped her develop the skills required to write effective Literature and Social Studies essays and she moved on to pass these subjects.
