I just completed my A levels in Dunman High School, a school under the integrated programme in 2015 :) my teaching method would be to cover all learning outcomes provided by various syllabus and make sure the student is adequately prepared before taking the exam. Scored A+ for math 1 and math 2 as well as biology when I was in sec 4 and hoping to teach math and science at upper primary and lower secondary levels.

I have a PhD in Engineering and after working as a scientist at A*STAR for almost 10 years, i started tutoring to pursue my passion to empower students to excel in academics in 2016. Since then i have been a catalyst to bring forth positive change in my students lives. I am an ex-uni lecturer and also an ACTA certified trainer and have conducted several workshops on study skills and motivation. I specialise in Math and Science Tuition. I have successfully tutored/coached hundreds of young adults across several examination boards such as IB/A-levels/O-levels, CIE and towards the SAT exams both via face-to-face and online modes. The background of my students vary across a wide spectrum, from neighbourhood schools to independent/international schools to NUS High school students and even Homeschooled/Private Candidates. I am also an ex-adjunct Assistant Professor of Physics at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Department of Math and Science with expertise in pedogogy, androgogy and also a motivational speaker with experience running courses in JCs. I believe in empowering every student to do his/her best! No student has ever been turned away!

I have always been passionate about helping students who are finding it hard to catch up with the normal academic curriculum. I've always been selected as a peer tutor in school. Since then, I search for tutoring opportunities and tutored a primary 4 student in Chinese, allowing her to go from failing to a B. I usually teach based on what the school is teaching, so as to ensure that the student can catch up with the workload and master the subject.

I believe that as long as the student cooperate with me, improvements should very much be guaranteed. I am fun and cheerful, which hopefully is a plus point, as we become friends and rather than a serious, rigid, tutor-tutee relationship.
