I have been giving part time tuition since my days serving NS, focusing primarily in English, mathematics and sciences. I have been teaching a secondary 2 girl in mathematics for 3 years since Primary school and her mathematics grading has always been among the top 10 percentile in her cohort. I also taught a Secondary school student in English since Primary 6 and his grades improved from C to A in PSLE that year. He is currently doing well in most of his subjects in school. My best subjects throughout my academic life have always been mathematics, linguistics and sciences and hence I strong believe that is where my natural strengths lie.

My other area of expertise lies in Accountancy and Economics concepts, where I have just graduated from NTU with a Bachelor of Accountancy (2nd Upper Honours). I am currently helping a SIM-UOL student to prepare for his annual exams in May, for the modules of Accounting & Economics respectively, and have been receiving great feedback from him thus far.

I firmly believe in the importance of hardwork, consistency and cultivating a desire to excel in order to achieve academic success. It is also my belief to make learning as fun an experience as possible in order to achieve the best possible result. Hence, it is with such a focus on the importance of education that I strive to bring out the best in every student that I teach by incorporating real world examples, teaching aids as well as fun (by introducing a personalized reward system) into my lessons, as I want to impart to the next generation the factors that have contributed to my own academic performance and to see them grow as a well-rounded person.

I have 4+ years of tutoring experience. I teach english math and science. My teaching methodology varies according to the student based on where they need help the most. Generally it will consist of concept check, exam papers and homework help. Teaching is my passion. Personally, I feel that all student are capable. The only factor that differs from them to achieve success is the laziness or a poor study method. Thus it is important to be a tutor who will equip them with the relevant knowledge. I have taught students from varies schools and even done relief teaching at top schools. Generally my students improve from 45-50% grade percentile to 75-80% grade percentile.
