I believe every student has the innate ability to excel; only time is required. The role of a tuition teacher is to guide the student along the right path, and shorten the learning curve of the student, thus saving precious time for other subjects.
In guiding my students, I love to point out the critical points, and shorten the time needed to learn the most important part for each topics. This will help my students to focus and to score higher.
From there, questions need to be drill through to let the students know how to apply the basic concepts and be able to handle the questions smoothly during exams.
Questions force the brain to think and analyse, and is one of the most effective way to learning, and excel during exams.
My academic qualifications are as follows:
1) 2004 MSc Singapore-MIT Alliance in Advanced Materials for Micro- and Nano-systems
2) 2003 Bachelor of engineering -- 2nd class upper honours

I am an undergraduate student from NUS studying Chemical Engineering. To be honest, I am looking to be a tutor to earn some extra cash. This will also be my first time teaching tuition to anyone. However, I am confident in my knowledge in areas of mathematics and sciences (physics and chemistry). I will definitely research and prepare beforehand for every tuition lesson. I was also previously from Hwa Chong Institution. Hence, I am accustomed to the rigours of secondary school life and can hopefully impart some of my knowledge to students. As I am also a student currently myself, I feel that I can establish better rapport with students. I also believe myself to be a patient person, which may be an added bonus as a tuition teacher.
I am a recent Singaporean graduate from NTU. I majored in Economics and specialised in Finance. I am keen to tutor tertiary students (JC, IB, polytechnics and universities) in various Economics and Finance modules. The areas which I am knowledgeable in include: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Mathematics for Economists, Statistics, Social Science Research, Econometrics (STATA or SPSS), International Trade, Personnel Economics, Public Policy (Singapore etc.), Financial Economics, Corporate Finance, International Finance and the like. As for experience wise, I have been tutoring since my Junior College days. Moreover, I was shortlisted by the NTU Economics division to be the peer tutor for the module, Intermediate Macroeconomics, from February 2018 to April 2018.
I am only able to commit during the weekends because I hold a full-time role as well. All in all, I prefer teaching Chinese female students. Please feel free to enquire. Thank you.
