I have no teaching experience prior to this and so would like to have a go in this. I am currently teaching my cousin who is preparing for his PSLE this year. My teaching method would be to make sure the students know the important contents (determined by the small tests conducted along the way) before moving on to a new chapter. Once all the contents have been taught, i will go through other school papers and past exam papers with the students. I would alsp inform them the important contents which they definitely should know to tackle the exams. Though the syllabus may have changed quite a bit from the time i taken my exam, i would still do my best to teach the students with whatever knowledge i have.

I am going to NUS this yr august, double degree course: Chemical engineering and accountancy.

I am teaching GP in River Valley High School A-level classes I am a patient tutor with a deep knowledge of the syllabus for General Paper. I have been teaching for 8 years and I have a good track record for tuition. My students range from elite schools like RJC, NJC, ACJC to the normal JCs such as IJC, JJC and PJC. My record for the past 2 years was 100% As and Bs for 6 students for 2013 and 66% As and Bs for 3 students. I taught a girl from PJC and her score raised from S to an A in 1.5 years (testimonial upon request) and an NJC student scored A after scoring Cs when I first met him (testimonial upon request). For the 2014 batch, a male student from RJC was scoring Ds and I pushed him to a B in 1 year (Took him in JC2). Other success stories include a Chinese National who was scoring E grades and I pushed her up to a C in 3 months (3 times a week for this urgent case) in 2010). This shows my ability to teach a wide range of students with different learning capabilities. I have a method of teaching which is based closely on what I learnt about argumentation from my linguistics training in NUS and also from my own experiences teaching in my own school. I can safely guarantee an improvement of up to 2 grades if this method is followed strictly.
