I completed my International Baccalaurette (IB) in 2015 with a total of 42 points, and I earned 7's for both my HL Physics and HL Mathematics. I was awarded both Mathematics HL Dean's List and A-STAR Junior Science Award in 2014 for my good performance in mathematics and science. I have also participated in mathematics competitions and won in many of them (etc. Distinction in British Mathematics Olympiad and High Distinction in Australian Mathematics Competition). With strong foundations in these subjects, I believe I have the knowledge and ability to share and teach my students.

I have taught three students on a long-term basis - two in mathematics and one in physics. I taught my first student IB Mathematics HL, and he was very weak when I first received him. To build his foundation, I created notes with detailed explanation and examples for him to read and solve. He was able to solve the questions more independently afterwards. My second student was a IGCSE Physics one who needed constant practice; otherwise, she would forget her concepts. Thus, I ensured she had adequate practice without overwhelming her with it. As for my third student, I taught him Mathematics at Secondary Two level. His problem was his lack of confidence, so I gave him as many time practice as possible to build his confidence for his exams. I also highlighted areas where he has to be careful to prevent careless mistakes. I am confident my current tutoring experiences would help me with teaching my future students effectively.

I believe that constant practicing is key to improving one's grades, so I would usually set homework for my students to do. Depending on the student's needs, I am able to customize my teaching style to suit them. As for parents' special request, I would be able to handle. For example, the parents of one of my students wanted me to give the student articles to read so that he would be more well-read about the world. So, I included those articles in my student's homework and got him to write about his thoughts. Free feel to make special request and I will see whether I can handle it.

They were failing their subjects before teaching them, now they are at B standards.
