I have 9 years of tutoring experience. As of now, I’m currently a graduate tutor, and I am currently doing a PhD in biological sciences. I have previously taught at 2 local tuition centres, I cannot recall the first one, but the second one was Spring Ahead Tuition centre (2020-2021). However, I taught English there so that may not be very relevant to this assignment. For home tuition, I taught PSLE English, Maths and Science, and secondary level English, Chemistry and biology (both combined and pure). I do not really recall all their schools and grades, unfortunately, but my latest Olevel student was from Woodgrove secondary. She was sec 3 when I first started teaching her, and was getting around C5 for both chemistry and biology (pure). Her olevel grades for biology and chemistry was A1 and A2. I am also currently tutoring a secondary 3 combined chem/bio student from Riverside secondary, and her WA1 results was A2 for bio and A1 for chem (separate papers). I was told that she did not do very well in her sec 2 EOY for science.

I have one year of teaching experience. My student is J1 from NYJC. I'm tutoring him H2 Physics. This student improved from D7 to A2 for Physics O'Level. He engaged me again after O'Level. I have attended Raffles institution for my secondary school and junior college education. I received an A for physics in both A levels and Secondary 4 Integrated programme_ï_EOY. I have 1 year of official teaching experience. My greatest achievement in being a private tutor is that i was able to improve my O-Level Maris Stella secondary 4 student's grade from D7 for physics mid year exam to A2 for physics prelims within 6 months._ï_In addition, I have been teaching_ï_my peers physics and math in school regularly to help them to correct_ï_their misconceptions and assignments problems. Therefore, i am confident in my ability to teach both physics &_ï_math_ï_and help my students to improve their grades._ï_

I taught my good friend who was struggling with his studies after my O levels. He was getting a average of 25 R4 for prelims in sec 5 but eventually we managed to hit the target of 15 R4 for his O levels :) During my 2 years in NS i was a commander who was given a opportunity to give lessons to my recruits .Tutoring and helping them with military knowledge and doubts about anything.

I graduated from Singapore Management University with a double degree in Economics and Business Management (Finance) and was awarded the Lee Kong Chian Scholarship Award. I was a Deans List Hounoree and achieved distinctions for my Economics modules. I was also a Teaching Assistant for International Economics module and provided consultation for fellow students and assisted the Professor with his research work. Prior to SMU, I graduated from Raffles Junior College with straight As for GCE-A Levels.
