I was teaching Chinese at Townsville primary school and left in 2016. This position teaches students Chinese Language through the following skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Teaching methods: 1) Online resources from Mconline could be utilized for conversational lessons 2) For students who performed better, I could ask them to keep a diary to improve their writing skills. 3) Group work/group discussions could be conducted in class, so that students could learn from their peers and learn to work as a team. Past experience in teaching/tutoring: For most students, I would encourage them to try harder in their work, as most of them have tuition and home support. For the weaker students, I would focus more on speaking and reading. These students may not have tuition and home support. Even if they have, some of them are not confident of learning and began to reject learning. I could only try my best to tell them that they would improve as long as they are willing to learn. I have also told some of my ex students who are weak in their studies that, they should not look down on themselves, but to have the courage to enjoy learning.
