I have begun teaching tuition 5 years ago. Some of my students have come from top schools such as Hwa Chong Junior College and I am privileged to provide my best service to cultivate them the knowledge and method of study such that they can excel in their academics. I have taught a total of 7 students.

I have work with a student for 4 years (from Pri 6 to Sec 3). Prior to him engaging my service, he was failing his Pri 5 and was in danger of jeopardising his PSLE. Now he is one of the top students in Hai Sing Catholic School.
I have also taught an O Level student in Geylang Methodist School and he managed to improve his A Maths and Pure Physics and Chemistry from a B4, C5 and C5 to an A2, A1 and A2 respectively. He is currently now studying in SAJC.

I follow a 5 step teaching pedagogy:
1. Laying down learning objectives and the purpose of learning a particular unit of study or subject.
2. Open Discussion in which students are free to ask any questions with regard to the subject. This is to build interest and critical thinking in the particular unit of study or subject.
3. 2 Way Feedback after every lesson to point out any issues or areas of concern. Only through constructive feedback then both the tutor and student can grow together and develop a more cohesive and dynamic learning environment.
4. Formative Assessments are conducted every month to see the students strength and weakness in a particular subject. This is conducted so that corrective action can be done to correct certain misconceptions or misunderstandings in a particular unit of study or subject.
5. Metacognitive Strategies are slowly introduced throughout the tenure period so to further enhance students' interest in learning a particular discipline as well as to promote self independence in learning. To hear from my students saying that they do not require my presence anymore because they are going be independent and fully master the topic by themselves would give me the greatest sense of achievement. I strongly believe that would be the most fulfilling thing that every good educator would like to hear. To be able to inspire my students to be passionate about their learning and grow would definitely be the most important source of motivation!
