Hi, I'm Cheng, an undergraduate at NTU studying Environmental Earth Systems Science. I'm also part of the University Scholars Programme and am one of the pioneer batches in my bachelors course. My O and A level grades are mostly A1's, A2's, and AAB/A respectively.

I have had 3 years of teaching experience, and have taught 5 students in total. They were between Primary 5 and Secondary 4. Most have improved their grades from B3-C5 to A1-A2 (depending on the student's fundamental issues). I've had a recent student who improved from an all F9 for Math to an A1 (top of the class) this year. Her problem was not only in understanding Math, but in gaining an interest in class and in the subject, which she managed to achieve in the end.

My teaching method relies mostly on getting the students to understand the concept/reasoning, instead of purely memorising (which is also important as well). I also like to make the lessons more interactive and interesting, with different teaching styles depending on the students. I employ methods that will cater to each of their attention spans so that the time during tuition is maximized effectively.
