I have about a year and a half of teaching experience. I have spent an enriching 6 months teaching lower secondary Humanities (Geography and History) in Chua Chu Kang Secondary School. These 6 months taught me how to handle different kinds of students, and how to cater my teaching style to meet the needs of various students. It taught me that not all students learn the same way, and what works for one might not work for all. I ensured that every student under my care understood the concepts I was putting across by preparing notes and mindmaps at the end of every topic. This was an effective method and I noticed the grades for my classes improving every term. By means of surprise tests and quizzes, I ensured that the students were consistently revising their work. The 6 months that I had spent with these children made me realise my passion for teaching and guiding young minds, and it gave me an edge during my private tutoring sessions, as I was able to better understand my tutees. Furthermore, the satisfaction and fulfillment I felt when I saw all my students show great improvement throughout the terms, and go on to obtain As for their Humanities exams, was unlike any other. I am also a coach and I work with many students in primary and secondary schools. Interacting with them and guiding them has further led me to realise that my passion for teaching and imparting knowledge has grown, and I would love to make a difference to young minds as much as I can. I believe that with the right approach, every student can reach his/her full potential. Also, I have experience in tutoring S3 Biology and Literature, as well as PSLE English and Science. These students of mine have gone on to obtain good grades, as well as As for their PSLE. What is most important is that thanks to some of the teaching styles I have taught them, they still remember the fundamentals of what they have learnt till this very day.

French: I have a passion in learning and teaching the French language. I obtained As in H2 French in JC and also DALF C1. I did a teaching internship at MOELC and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Besides strengthening your written skills through interactive means, I'll also be your French conversation buddy!

Chinese (Pri): I believe the best way to improve one's Chinese is to use the language actively in everyday life. Coming from a Chinese speaking background and having attended Chinese schools, I will also be the student¢__Ô_æ¢s conversation buddy, especially if he/she does not have the environment to practice his/her oral & listening skills in. However, I would love to hear your views/your child's opinion first before deciding on the rigour, style and pace of lessons most suited for him/her. I have previously done an MOE teaching internship, peer tutoring as well as helped my cousin for his PSLE.

Eng/Math/Sci (Pri): What I provide is a teaching style tailored to the student's needs and specific tips in scoring well for each section of the exam.

Piano: Besides obtaining the Trinity College London Associate Diploma in Recital in Piano, I have taken part in piano competitions and was the accompanying pianist for my school choir.
