I've graduated from NUS High School and wish to give students tuition primarily in the STEM areas. I believe that Science and Math form a major part of the MOE syllabus, and since I have studied both disciplines with depth, I feel I can make a positive difference to my student's grades. Until now, I have done a large range of tutoring projects, from teaching children at a volunteer centre to AP Chemistry. My teaching philosophy regarding Science and Math is that one should really understand what is going on in the chapter. If the students have some sort of even a small question regarding a concept, the way Science and Math works is that, that doubt will compound over time, and the student will not be able to understand the majority of the chapter. Then, he/she would start to dislike the subjects and avoid it, leading to their grades dropping in those subjects. If I were to teach, I would ensure that the students first understand every single detail in every topic of the subject. Great results should soon follow. This is my style of teaching. I am a pretty laidback and very friendly person, so if the student has any doubt I will be more than willing to answer at any point in time. All I would expect of my student is to not be distracted during the lesson and try to finish whatever homework I give.

In sec 3, he was failing Math. Others were A students just need to maintain A. I have experience with students with learning issues. Mostly mild autism. I focus on teaching secondary level A and E Mathematics (Express/NA/NT). I have helped students improve considerably. For instance, my student from West Spring Secondary School improved from D7 to A2 in O Level E Math within 1.5 years. Just this year, my other student received his O Level results with marked improvement in Mathematics (he has scored A1 in E Math and B3 in A Math).

Most of my students achieve grade improve by 2 grades. Last year, I taught a Sec 3N student from Aug and his grade improved from 55% to 77%. I also taught a Sec 4 O'level student from May 2018 and his grade improved from fail to B3 (O'level result).
