Been a tutor for 18 years and worked in a student care as a senior teacher. I'm mainly an English Tutor teaching English to all levels. I have been tutoring for about 6 years now. I teach mainly Maths for primary and lower secondary students. My students usually start seeing a difference in their results within the first few months. I believe that it is more important to spark the student's interest in the subject before loading them with information. Hence my teaching style is usually more of a nuturing process rather than feeding students with answer without allowing them understand.

I have taught primary and secondary school children in various subjects such as English, Science and Maths. This experience was gained when I volunteered to teach both primary and secondary school children in English, Maths and Science at Loving Hearts Multi-Service Centre. I volunteered to help underprivileged children during my free time in National Service as I believe in giving back to society.

For me, I believe that students need to internalise and understand concepts before they are able to apply it to their studies and I believe I am able to allow students to do so through the way I teach. My previous students have improved in their subjects in at least a grade. Highest improvement was a primary 5 student in English by 13 marks, and generally there will be improvement in Math as well. Thus I believe I am able to help other students as well. Currently, I am teaching a Primary 4 school student in Math and a Grade 9 student in English.

I will be enrolling as an undergraduate in NUS Pharmacy from AY2019/20. I have previously did relief teaching for about half a year in a secondary school back in 2017. I taught 4E Pure Chem as well as 3NA Science (Chem). I was approached by my secondary school Chem teacher to take over her as she was on long term MC. I had the valuable teaching experience on teaching a full class, where I worked with my HOD and other science teachers during this period. Also, I took Chem SPA during that period hence I have experience in practical assessments. Also, I had been giving home tuition (in E Maths, Chem and Physics) prior to my enlistment in NS. Generally, student improved 2 grades when I taught them for at least 3 months. The rate is negotiable, what's more important to me is improvement of the student.
