My teaching experience: 2012-2017, Peicai Sec school 2019-2020, Zhicheng Private School 2021- current Evergreen Sec school I graduated with 2nd class Honours in Mech. Engr from NTU and then later obtained a PGDE from NIE. After obtaining distinctions in Physics, E Math and A Math in O levels, I got into Hwa Chong JC where I achieved distinctions in Physics, Math and Further Math in A levels. Over the years, I have helped many students appreciate the subject and subsequently improve their grades. In particular, 2 students who were my tutee for 2 years gained vast improvement from a passing grade to a B3 for Physics and A2 for Sci(Phy). My approach is always about checking learning gaps of students and tailor teaching to meet their needs. I was also a teacher with Zhi Cheng Private School coaching students preparing for AEIS Math and O level Physics. I started online lessons since the beginning of 2020 and have some experience using Zoom and Google Meet for video conference and Google Classroom to coach students. I have been teaching for more than 16 years with experience in coaching students learn Physics and Math. My approach begins with helping students understand the fundamentals so as to build skills and knowledge to achieve competency in the subject. I have the patience to tailor teaching to meet the learning needs of students so that they can build confidence in the subject.

Students ranges from upper primary to secondary school - Instrumental and meticulous in guiding students to tackle challenging questions/problems effectively. - Introduce relatable items or terms to allow students to absorb teaching materials or teaching concepts easily. - Coach and discuss student’s weakness and strengths, focusing on what he did well and do better and work on improving his weaknesses. - Held ad-hoc evaluation exercises for student to evaluate their understanding of the syllabus and topics taught. - Periodic follow-ups with parents of the student to evaluate progress on their studies and area to improve or reinforce. - Students showed improvements in their grades ranging from 1-2 grade jump after 2-3 months of tutoring.

But after meeting Mr Dhika, I managed to gain confidence in my academic pontential and he made me realise that Chemistry was not as hard as I thought it was. In fact I was able to jump from a F9 to an A1 in a span of a month. Mr Dhika also uses real world contexts to explain certain chemistry concepts which I personally find useful." I prepared my own notes & summarize the topics of coverage in terms of exercises, to let the student understand the topic in the form of interpreting and answering the question directly. We always discuss and run through exercises together with the student. Highly flexible and approachable to adapt with different student style and requirements.
