I have been teaching maths and science to secondary students over the past 8 years. I have had the priviledge of teaching kids from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and schools (from local to international)! I have experience with O level and IGCSE exam boards. My specialty lies in teaching chemistry and biology to secondary school students, especially those preparing for O levels. Personally, I studied Biomedical Sciences at Imperial College London and am currently pursuing a PhD at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine NTU. I am a researcher, with a passion for education which is why I love tutoring kids on a part time basis. My method of teaching always starts with building a solid foundation. After which I like to get the child really organised with their revision scheduling so that we have plenty of time and space to revise and practice questions in preparation for the exams. After going over the content to the point where the child is very confident with it, we practice exam questions of varying degrees of difficulty, putting them in an excellent position to handle any challenge which comes their way :)

I have been teaching for 7 years as a private tutor, of which 2 of them were spent teaching in tuition centres. During my time at the tuition centres, I was a MOE-registered tutor. I graduated from Raffles Institution with straight As for my A Levels. My lessons are engaging and my curriculum is taught in a systematic manner to address all weak points faced by my students. I have taught students with depression, ADHD, autism and anger management issues. I have taught students from international schools, students in the IP track as well as students studying for N-levels. I specialise in teaching students that are conventionally harder to teach and transform them into independent and assertive thinkers. My lessons are never boring and your child will be eager for lessons. If you engage me as your child's tutor, I will also provide writing services to help your child get into their ideal school or apply for scholarships (separately charged). I do not overbook my schedule because of the commitment required for each student.
