14 years of tutoring JC Maths and Chem (H1/H2) I have taught many students at this tuition centre. The longest one stayed with me from Sec 2 thru JC2. Most of them started out as JC1 students who will stay with me till they graduate. Taught students from RJ, NJ, HCI, PJ, RVHS, YJ etc Most of them can achieve at least 3 to 4 grade jumps, example D to A or U to B. If they are A then they maintain A. I started out teaching tuition in 2005, since then I'd taught 100s of students through their 2 years JC term, I have some experience teaching IBDP Chem (including discussing and designing IA and EE) and IB Math. Also taught IP students from RJC, HCI, NJC, VJC etc. I have at least 2 students each year depending on my schedule and am very familiar with the syllabus.

I am a Full Time tutor who has been in this industry for the past 10 years. I started off as a part time private tutor as i was working in the laboratories for 6 years. I have taken over 20 students over the past few years and we have reached the target we've set by far. I have successfully tutored PSLE students to reach their aim. I was a part time tutor for first year introductory economics modules in university for a year. As for my teaching style, i will start the lesson by first asking my students if there are any urgent content/homework that they need my help with. Subsequently, i will teach the content scheduled for the day's lesson. My style of teaching is to first gauge the level of understanding that the student has in the content scheduled for the day, and correct any misunderstandings before proceeding to teach new content. Once new content is taught, i will assess my student's understanding through exercises and questions before moving on. Homework depends on the student's availability as i feel that there is no point in forcing the student to do extra if their understanding of the content is sufficient.

I teach sec 2 math from evergreen sec, another one is sec 2 Chinese from Presbyterian sec The sec 2 math I don’t have exact results but he promoted from g3 (I think is NT equivalent, to g2 math NA equivalent) Chinese one, he was not a local student, from unable to read and his have very limited vocabulary in the Chinese language (pronunciation also quite botched) and now he is able to understand and read short Chinese stories and his pronunciation improved I have given coaching to my friends (junior) and sister (currently Sec 4) sec 1 through 4 and they have feedbacked that I personalized teaching for each individual for easier understanding of concepts to be applied to similar questions in the future.
