Currently, I'm teaching a P4 student who has seen improvements in Math from a 'just pass' to 70+. I am also teaching two P3 students currently. I have taught a P6 student for PSLE and her Math results saw an improvement from 60 in SA1 to 77 for prelims. I have also taught a P5 student (SCGS) Science and Math. Math and Science have always been my better subjects so I hope that I’ll be able to help the student build a good foundation for the subject and enjoy learning the subject. I'm patient in teaching and will help students to build a strong foundation in the subject. I wish to help students understand concepts clearly rather than just regurgitate answers. Through this, I believe students may find learning interesting and less dreadful.

I have 2 years experience in giving private tuition to Sec 3 & Sec 4 students, by giving patience in motivating the student, my student grade is improved from F9 to A1. Sounds amazing, but this is true when a student is motivated and starts having confidence in himself/herself that he/she can make it. I also had teaching experience in primary school, I used to be primary school teacher & tutor before I started my tertiary education.

My strengths are mainly my languages. I have a diploma in Mass Communication & I'm currently and undergrad in SUSS. I've been doing freelance tutoring for about 8 years, but I stopped to take a break since December 2023 till now. I strongly believe that understanding the students and finding the best way that they can understand, is the most effective teaching method. All students learn differently, thus I would take the effort to find out which methods make it easier for them to learn. I would like to add on that I have had a good amount of experience with teaching Primary school students. I have taught mainly the languages, namely English and Tamil, for Lower and Upper Primary students. For instance, after teaching a P2 girl English, her grades have steadily improved from a D to an A. I have also taught Mathematics for Lower Primary. -marketing and communications intern at Singapore Red Cross (Mar - August 2022) -childcare assistant teacher (June - Oct 2023)
