Experience in teaching P3 and 4, S1 and 2 classes at CDAC, hence am well-verse with the current syllabus.

I am a stay-at-home mum. I have a daughter in Primary 6 and a son in Primary 3 and have been the one coaching them in their school work through the years. My strength is Mathematics and I have a good understanding of how it is taught in school with the model method. I used to teach Math to secondary school kids and have been effective at bring improving their grades from E/F to A/B. Thus, I believe I have the understanding and the communication skill required to help students to decipher math problem and made it easy for them.

I taught a Primary 6 student Math for a year and his grades went from U to C. This student was at risk of entering Normal Technical, so I helped with his English as well and he is now studying in Normal Academic stream. I have been teaching a Primary 3 student Math and English since he was in Primary 1, and he has been making progress through the years (From being unable to read anything other than his name, to being able to sound out words through the use of phonics and being able to reading long chunks of paragraphs now). I am also teaching his Primary 6 brother Math and English to prepare him for PSLE this year (2021).

As a Pharmaceutical Engineering student, I enjoy learning and teaching both Mathematics and Science. I have been tutoring these subjects for all secondary levels for 4 years now and my students did well and most of them continued with me the following year. Last year, I built the foundation of a Secondary 2 student's math and she have been improving a lot this year (Secondary 3). Her parent then requested me to teach her brother as well. Just recently, another Secondary 2 science student excelled from C5 to A2 for her WA1 within 1 month of teaching.

I have close to 3 years of teaching experience for lower secondary Science. I scored A1 for my O level Science. I have taught 10 students so far and I am currently teaching lower secondary students. Some of my students were from ACS, St Joseph Institution, Queensway Secondary and Bartley Secondary etc. Most of my students were scoring C5 but managed to score at least a B3 some were able to score A1 for their Science. I usually provide my students with basic conceptual notes to reinforce their understanding of the topic and further enhanced their knowledge through past year exam questions from different schools that I have personally compiled based on different topics. Occasionally, we would target topics that my students are weaker in and try to work from there. I am patient and try to incorporate my understanding and empathy towards students' stress. I hope to improve my students' understanding and mastery of science concepts, leading to better academic performance and increased confidence.
