I have 14 years of experience teaching Pri and Sec students. Currently teaching a P5 student in Chinese I have students from Fengshan, Red Swastika, St Anthony Canossian, Bedok Green, Temasek Primary. For Chinese, I have only taught a P6 student from Northview. I taught him until Sec 2 Some of the students are weaker like 16/28 and 31/50 for their WA1, some stronger like 27/40. The Northview student PSLE before AL he got an A As of today, I have coached many students who have went on to get better grades, a lot achieved distinctions for O level and PSLE. I have taught Chemistry and Physics to Sec 3 and Sec 4 students as well. This year have taken a Sec 4 student from SST who have just completed his O'Levels. I have another student from Monfort going into Sec 3 next year, now teaching triple science subjects. Other subjects taught include P1-P6 English and Science, Lower Secondary English, Maths and Science, Upper Secondary A/E Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Combined Sci(Phy/Chem), Combined Science(Chem/Bio). Teaching approach: Curate and plan ahead for classes according to students needs. Have a checklist and overview for student. Normally it would be qns that students have from school and then moving on to curated papers/ relevant exam qns. I take short breaks for students to refresh and connect with them as well. Track records and related experiences: Previous bicultural studies scholar and experience teaching primary school students as well as peer tutoring. Constantly performed in chinese, math, geography and economics. My previous experiences entail volunteer tutoring disadvantaged primary school students attending their PSLE. My students enjoy my way of mind mapping and going through qns they are unfamiliar or make common mistakes in. My tutees in math, english and Chinese have improved in their results towards prelim period. I have taught via zoom through volunteer tutoring and my classes, using share screen function to go through additional worksheets that I have curated. I make sure to have additional device so I can take note of the student’s response and use my iPad drawing function to Mindmap ideas and do questions together. I have volunteered to tutor secondary school students in Darul Ihsan Orphanage for almost a year, the students gave me positive feedback about my teaching and I could see improvements being made. I have also volunteered at Healthy Start Child Development Centre where I created and executed lesson plans for pre-school children. I am very patient and enjoy teaching.

I have been a private tuition teacher for 2-3 years (both on full time and part time basis). I teach mainly the English Language and Math to Primary School Students. I have also volunteered for a span of 2 years at Ngee Ann Primary Student Care Centre where I assisted Primary School Students (Primary 1-6) with their academics (i.e. English, Math, Chinese, Science). Till date, I have taught a total of 6 students. I create a personalised study plan for each of my students, focusing on their weaker areas for each subject. I also monitor their progress through a checklist system where I note if they require more help for a certain section/area in the subject tutored. Out of the 6 students, I have taught two international students (one Korean and one Thai) and their grades noticeably improved (at least 1-2 grades higher) within a short span of time (4-6 months). I am confident that with my versatile teaching approach, I will be able to cater my tuition classes to best fit the needs of my tutee and work towards improving the tutee's knowledge and understanding of the subject taught. In light of the COVID19 period, I am open to giving online tuition classes as well. Prompt payment is always appreciated.
