Over the course of my experience, I have taught multiple students from various levels. Relevant to lower secondary level, I have tutored 3 secondary 2 students for Maths and Science. 1 student was from the NT stream and 2 students were from the express stream. NT stream student - improved very well in both of the subjects taught. Initially was barely passing maths at C6 - she managed to score B3 for her EYE. For science, she was scoring between C5-B4, and she managed to improve to a B3 grade as well for EYE Express stream student - Has been getting a C5 grade, I was able to identify her weaknesses and we worked consistently on drilling topics. She managed to get an A2 and qualified for A-maths for her streaming. As for science, she has been getting a B3 - we were able to maintain this grade for EYE as well - as the concepts taught became more complex.

I am a preschool teacher. I am experienced in teaching primary school and secondary school math. As model drawing is an important step to solving questions, I will encourage my students to draw models. I will adapt my teaching based on the children’s needs and understanding by setting my own questions according to their learning level. In order to facilitate their understanding of the fundamentals and concepts, I will craft my own questions and encourage them to try the questions on the spot. From there, I will be able to understand which are the areas the child needs to work on, and if he/ she has had understood the mathematical concepts.

I have 10 years of experience and am a current full time SPED senior teacher. I have given tuition to students with autism, ADHD and students with learning disability. I graduated with a masters in special education, bachelor in psychology and have trained by MOE-NIE and recognized as a trained SPED educator. I have also worked with kids diagnosed with speech impairment and non verbal ASD students. I use PECS to improve communication skills for students with ASD and speech delay. Students are aged from 8-15 years old. I can also teach functional english and math and daily living skills. At times, i will introduce social scripts/socials in my teaching to help my students make sense of social situations or challenges. To make the lesson interesting, I bring different manipulates and resources to engage the student during learning. Besides academic improvement, I am also trained in positive behavioural support. I have taken 2 batches of H2 chemistry students. 2 students for my first batch and 5 students for my second batch. For first batch of students, one of them was a private candidate who decided to do A levels in a year. He was enrolled into a private school and was constantly scoring low U even up till prelims. I decided to take him during prelims and he managed to get A for A levels. Second student was quite weak in chemistry. She scored S for mid years but managed to attain a C at A levels. As for the second batch of students, they generally showed improvements over time and are awaiting release of results next year Feb. I have designed my own tutorials to ensure comprehensive learning for the individual topics within the syllabus. I will specifically write questions when required to tackle the student's weaknesses. I am ever willing to answer queries even outside of lesson at no additional costs. I always make it a priority to clear my student's doubts ASAP.
