I was previously an art educator at art grain Pvt ltd and have handled a classroom of up to 7 students. I completed my diploma in visual arts and English literature and so I can teach English, fine arts as well as IB-specific subjects as TOK. I am currently pursuing product design and taking a module on essay writing so I can also assist with language and creative writing.

I have experience teaching and taking care of P1s and P3s English and Maths at a student care for 4 months. I believe in teaching with a sense of encouragement but also with a serious attitude. For Mathematics, I think that it is important for students to identify the pattern and similarities within the questions asked to make their learning more effortless. For Science, both understandings and keywords are crucial to achieving the A.

I am now majoring in Physics at NUS. Recent students from TJC and HCJC. So far, I have taught 8 students in total and all have seen improvements in their understandings of the subject and their grades. I have consistently fared well in my years at Hwachong and my time there was well spent. I participated actively in all activities, most notably I was the Organising Secretary of the Asian Youth Chinese Forum in 2018 and served as one of the captains of Track and Field. I also won the Best Delegate Award at the Raffles Model United Nations and also was selected to represent the school at The Hague International Model United Nations. Furthermore, I am a recipient of the SAP Scholarship and was a part of the Bicultural Studies Program in my last 4 years at Hwa Chong. In J2, I also took up the NTU H3 Semiconductors module. I tutored some friends for their BioMedical Admissions Test for their university application and am currently teaching H2 Physics, IP Math, Chem and Physics, A-Math and E-Math.

I have a strong understanding of the sciences due to my degree/professional training. - Experience: Tutored needy children as part of volunteer program during secondary school. In addition, helped to tutor my brother, also from River Valley High School in the sciences as well during his A Levels in 2018.

I graduated VJC with 8 distinctions at A levels. Maths and sciences have always been intriguing to me and I hope to spark the interests in my students too. With a strong grasp of concepts in maths and sciences, I am able to quickly identify misconceptions and gaps in students' understanding so as to get them back on the right track. While I have no formal tutoring experience, I have had some experiences doing peer mentoring in JC and all of them did well in A levels (achieved As and Bs).
