I have been teaching IB, H1, H2 Economics for 6 years and have taken students from JC1 to A levels. I have taught about 30 students in total for IB, H1, H2 economics as I focus on each student and specially tailor make each teaching style so that my student will have fun and be genuinely interested during tuition. I was a student before hence, I understand the intense stress that a student will go through. Hence, I make sure my students are in a good place mentally and physically before they study. I also help when they cannot handle the exam stress and do exam preparation and time management. As for H1 and H2 Economics, I give my students theory lessons and content that set them apart from other Economics students. As long as the student is willing to learn, I am more than willing to push my students to achieve that A with the right and enjoyable guidance. We will go through the economic content in relation to the syllabus, theories that are covered in H3 level to set your essay apart, timed assignments, exam preparation to make sure that my student is fully prepared for A levels. Now I’m teaching in total of 10 students combined of IB and A levels- two students from RJC, two students for NYJC, one student from EJC, two students from SAJC and three students that are private candidate. I also offer the option of online tuition as I have been doing online tuition ever since the the circuit breaker started via zoom. I commit to my student’s goal and will bring the student all the way to A levels.

The three assets that define me is teaching, tutoring, and mentoring. Since my school days, I used to tutor my juniors, their parents loved me, and the perks I received from them gives me a rewarding feel even today. However, after high school, I honed my delivery skill into a part-time product trainer role at Unilever Limited. As a scholar, I got an opportunity to pursue my hobby; I professionally taught for more than five years alongside graduating. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor. I am a tutor that loves the opportunity to assist students who desire to improve their academic performance. I personally feel that teaching is more than a job it’s a responsibility. Because a teacher can be a turning point for the student’s life, a teacher can curve their student’s career into beautiful ones.

I am a Mechanical Engineer for about 25 year (still practicing ) and had 10 years of lecturing experience in polytechnic as a Senior Lecturer teaching Full Time diploma in engineering school and COC course for adults before. My expertise are in Engineering Design, Engineering subjects (eg Strength of Material, Fluid Mechanics, Design & Technology etc), CAD (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and various other engineering digital tools use for analysis/design/presentation. I have experience in training final year students in building large scale projects such as Electric vehicles (tested in overseas highway), Elevator system, Automation system, Rehabilitation product etc.

My students enjoyed my lessons, and did very well in exams, even for those who are with me for less than 6 months prior to the finals, they could go from D/E/F to A/B! I am responsible, patient and passionate in my teaching, which is interactive and engaging. I am experienced in identifying the gaps in the student's understanding, and able to explain any topic from scratch, in a way that students are able to follow the reasoning clearly and hence find the key concepts easy to grasp. I also had an A-level student with just a borderline pass in his prelims but scored A in both H2 Maths and H2 Physics after 3 months of tutoring. And many others, who went from failing JC1 exams to scoring A's in the GCE A level exams.

I have worked as a part-time tutor at a tuition centre during my university days and moved on to become a full-time tuition centre teacher after I graduated. I also have experience being a private tutor since my university days. After my tuition centre stint, I moved on to teaching tuition in a student care centre while still providing home tuition. I mainly tutor Primary School students (Maths) and Upper Secondary School students (Chemistry). Under my guidance, my students have improved their grades from a failing grade to at least a 'B' grade. Apart from assessment books (either the student’s or mine), I will also prepare additional materials (my own worksheets or past year papers) to provide more practices and enhance students’ understanding whenever necessary.
