Note: Due to schedule clashes from both parties, the tutoring was called off after a short period.

I have helped classmate to improve from a fail to an A for both E- and A-math in one semester in Sec 4 while in Nan Hua High School. I also have experience in tutoring primary school students for 2 months as well as secondary school students for 3 months. I was in Chinese Debate club and represented Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) in the inter-school debate competition and won the first place. I took Chinese Language and Literature as one of my H2 subjects in HCI and was in MOE Chinese Language Elective Program (CLEP). I am patient and is able to customize according to every student's needs so as to spark their interest in the subjects, making the subjects less daunting and boring.

Currently I am teaching at GRACE OASIS COUNSELLING SERVICES as an English teacher. I was also an adjunct teacher at these schools: - CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL (SEC 3), SCHOOL OF THE ARTS (SEC 2), PAYA LEBAR METHODIST GIRLS (SEC 1) , HOLY INNOCENTS’ HIGH (SEC 2 AND 4) AND DEYI SECONDARY SCHOOL (SEC 1), DEYI SECONDARY SCHOOL I was a secondary school teacher with the Ministry of Education for 5 years before leaving to pursue a Masters in Counselling. Upon graduation and obtaining a Masters of Arts in Counselling, I worked with Feiyue Family Service Centre as a counsellor and trainer. As a trainer, I conducted workshops for couples who were intending to get married but underaged. I also carried out training sessions with transnational couples. These trainings took place mainly over Zoom during the pandemic. It was rewarding building rapport with my participants and getting good feedback from them. I also worked as an adjunct lecturer at the Singapore Polytechnic School of Life Skills and Communications for a year. I conducted lessons on effective communication and interpersonal skills to polytechnic students. It was enriching teaching these students as they were eager to learn and found the topic applicable and beneficial. Most recently, I ended my one-year contract as a Flexi-Adjunct Teacher with a local secondary school to focus on my family. I am passionate about working with youths and young adults and am comfortable with public speaking.
