I do have 9 years of volunteering experience which I will teach pri 4-6 students English and Math on a weekly basis. It was volunteering so we didn't have their initial scores/ final results. I'm currently still in the volunteering program, so I'm quite clear and experienced in the syllabus.

I have one year of experience in teaching secondary level students in mathematics ( lower sec, e maths and a maths). I have a Sec 2 and Sec 4 student, both in West Spring Sec school.

I believe that in order to score well in mathematics, one must master the concepts of the topics and the answering techniques. Therefore, I'll commit myself to ensure that my students know what's required in the examination so that they know what exactly to study and how to score in exams. I would usually find the roots of the mistakes that the students are making and correct their mistakes. This is so that they'll not make the same kind of mistakes again.

I have had 5 over years of experience as a Montessori Teacher (with certification from Modern Montessori International), as well as 8 years of Corporate Experience in Leadership & Training (in Singapore).

In Singapore, I taught in several preschool centres such as Little Wings, Carpe Diem centres, mainly teaching kids from 2 years old onwards.

Whilst I focus on content of curriculum in my lesson plan, I also incorporate a high level of interaction, questioning, critical thinking, reasoning, public speaking guidance and personal leadership skills.

In my view, I am spending the hour or hour and a half with the student, not just as a tutor but also a guide in ensuring he/she can express the content they are learning and understand how to use it past just 'doing homework' or 'passing a test'.

Rest assured, a child's confidence level rises as I work with them.
