I have taught 5 students in the past. All of them were about about to take their PSLE at the end of the year when i taught them. Generally, their grades have improved as compared with their results at the end of their P5 year to that of their P6 prelim grades. In particular, two of my students who usually scored C in Science score A in their PSLE. As for the rest, most of the subjects that i taught them in got mostly B. Before teaching them, some of their subjects barely passed.

I have two years of teaching experience, all of which are one-to-one tuition. My style of teaching include prompting students to ask questions, highlighting main concepts and a lot of practices. At the start and end of every lesson, I would ask my student if he has any question regarding homework or anything taught in school or tuition. During the lesson itself, I will go through the concepts covered in their curriculum in great detail and giving them practice questions now and then. When exams are nearing, I tend to increase the tempo by giving them more practices and papers to try. I believe such practices will enhance their memory and confidence in taking on the actual exam paper itself.

I am highly sensitive to the needs of people, with regards to my teaching speed or finding out what piques their interest. I also tend to constantly self-assess myself, checking that I'm on the right track.

I will observe the learning styles of students and adjust my teaching style to ensure better learning. For example, if teaching a detail-oriented learner, I would teach him/her with a step-by-step method; if teaching a student who sees the big picture first, I would keep giving him/her overviews/mindmaps, and spontaneously make my own if they are not provided. I am keen on finding out which method would suit the different learning styles of students.

In 2007, I had one year experience teaching a primary 3 and primary 5 students under City Tuition. The subjects taught were English, Mathematics and Science. Unfortunately, I coundn't remember the grades that they have achieved, however, I received compliments from the parents as they informed that their children had achieved a better grade.

Currently I have 2 years of teaching experience and have 9 students on hand.

As shown, almost all of them have shown significant improvement in their studies. I have a p5 student who improved from 60 plus to 98 for her maths.

I have another p4 student who always fail in his maths, he managed to top class for last year EOY exams. I have another p6 student students who shown tremendous improvement in her maths(she has never pass maths before and she managed to pass with an additional of 11 marks compared to her previous score). For this same student, she managed to top the class for science as well.

I have another sec 1 student who never pass his comprehension. After 2-3 months of tuition, he managed to pass his comprehension and obtain one of the top few for months. I have another sec 2 international student who managed to get into local school after intense tuition for 2 months. On top of all these, i do have students coming to my place for tuition. I do provide crash courses as well.
