As an MOE-trained full-time tutor who has 9 years of experience, including that with local schools and The Learning Lab, I am well-equipped to help your child gain a significant improvement in his results and overall English proficiency. Most importantly, I hope to nurture a passion for reading and a natural love for the language in your child.

Lessons are closely tailored to the new O Level syllabus. Materials are mostly self-prepared using current affairs and relevant articles/ commentaries. Students will also be exposed to exam papers from a variety of schools.

Currently as a part-time tuition teacher, I have developed the skill to connect with my student with my cheerful disposition and innovative teaching methods. And hence, the student is able to grasp the topic with much ease. A unique teaching method which I have devised is that I do not usually give the answers straight away to the student; I lead them to the answer whereby, they themselves will be able to answer the question through my hints and through my delivery of the topic to them.

I have been tutoring for the past 3 years now and both my PSLE students have aced their Science and Mathematics with a B and an A, from a fail and my Secondary one student has been doing well for his Mathematics subject, getting at least a 70% from a fail.

Work experience:
As a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) educator, I am attached to both Science Centre Singapore (under STEM Inc.) and Fuchun Secondary School to teach students on a specialized applied learning program. With first hand teaching experience, I have solely developed the program structure and lesson plans through researching, prototyping and testing of a small-scale manufacturing experiment. I develop the lesson plans according to my experiment which is based on chemical reactions and mathematical models, to teach the students on the environmental reactions, specifically on water quality in reservoirs and drains.

Prior to this, I was working as a Process Engineer for a year and a half at the Singapore Refining Company.
