I do not have any formal experience but I was appointed as a peer tutor during my secondary school and junior college days to help my fellow peers in Mathematics who are weaker in the subject. I believe in guiding students through the step-by-step thinking processes involved in every problem rather than just providing them with the answers. This way, they will be able to learn, understand and apply their knowledge well.

Being a tutor is a meaningful experience for me because I believe that learning is not just limited to the students; I am able to learn new things from them as well. Not only am I interested in developing students academically via knowledge sharing, I also hope to develop them in non-academic areas such as lifeskills.

I've taught students chemistry and English internally within my school, these were my juniors from raffles institution. I'll be going to pursue law at smu in 2018.

As a student who has just passed out from Raffles Institution Junior College, I have access to extremely useful resources and possess updated knowledge on the subjects I can teach. I am able to commit fully to ensure that the student succeeds and I believe that I have certain useful tips that can be imparted to other students.

In my spare time, I engaged in debates and public speaking competitions while writing an active commentary website. As such, I believe that I will be able to impart valuable english language skills to any prospective students.

As a geography and economics student, I learnt that these subjects can be dealt with through exam skills rather than absolute knowledge. I am able to actively impart these skills to any student who takes these subjects as well. Students who suffer from exam anxiety will also benefit from my tutelege as I am able to impart certain tricks on how to deal with exam stress and 'mind-blanks'.
