I am a part-time undergraduate student, full-time tutor. I have 5 years experience of teaching primary school students only thus far. 3 years as a part-time tutor teaching 4 lower primary students Eng math. From failing to pass (2C, 2 B) 2 years as a full time tutor at a student care teaching p1-p6 EMS. Quite a big range of students. Currently just started private tutoring 2 students from the student care who have quit the centre because they want me to tutor them. 1 is a P1 student, another is a student from the gifted Programme. I've more than 11 years of experience in teaching primary school Maths and Chinese. I have few testimonials of helping my students to improve from 28/100 to 70/100 tremendously within 3 months. For Maths, my students were always able to achieve greater result as compare to before me teaching them. Within 3 short months, they are able to see improvements. I always teach them ahead of what their school teacher is teaching them. So that they are ahead of other students. And also to have a heads up and have a better understanding of what the teacher is teaching. As for Chinese, we all know that Chinese or I would say language needs more time to see improvement. Generally all my students showed huge improvements. For myself, I would always teach them the basic and built their foundations. Eg: Teach them the 'pang' to explain to them why certain words are like that and how are all the similar sound similar when they look alike. Teaching them all these skills help them easier able to identify the correct answer in their exams.
