I am a graduate from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (National University of Singapore) with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (2nd Class Upper) degree in History. I also hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Specialisation in teaching at Secondary School Level) with Credit in History and English Language. I worked as a journalist with Singapore Press Holdings. I am currently a full-time English Language and General Paper teacher in an independent school. I am the subject head of English Language and also the General Paper teacher of the school. My experience as a teacher provided me the opportunity to assume all the responsibilities of a form-teacher, CCA-teacher, level-subject coordinator and committee member (National Education and ICT). My teaching experience includes handling students of diverse learning abilities. I have also worked successfully with students with special needs. Furthermore, with a strong background in the English Language, I hope to take up the challenge this assignment offers. As a journalist with The New Paper, I served as an education and community affairs reporter. I wrote stories related to community issues, education, crime, accidents and disasters. I specialised in stories that concern the community and gathered facts and information through research and interviews, and presented my articles in a fashion that attracts and educates my readers. I was teaching in Hillgrove Secondary school specialising in triple sciences Physics, chemistry and biology. Currently I am a tutor at coco education (tuition centre) I am an author of established author of 29 science books for pri, sec, IB and A-level My passion lies in teaching. I'm currently teaching P4 Maths & Science in a Primary school. I have been teaching for the last 4 years I’ve been a tutor for 6 years and running. I ran my own tuition centre at Sembawang and Pasir Ris in 2017-2018 while doing home tuitions. I was a teacher in a special education school (MOE school). I’ve got experience in teaching kids with ASD, ADHD etc. I also taught at pathlight school Out of all the students that I’ve taught. I’ve a passing rate of 100% for all students. In 2018-2018 I had 8 students.
