I am teaching in Queenstown Primary school. Patient and motivating tutor who has been in education service 15 years in MOE Primary School, ranging from P1 to 6 and from Foundation to Higher Chinese. Have taught numerous local and international students whose mother tongue might not be Chinese. Builds fast and good rapport with students! Does not just teach your child the language skills, but integrates cultural elements and builds on moral character! Effectively bilingual and can teach online or face to face, one to one or group, with mixed usage of traditional drill and practice and pedagogies employing information technology. Proficient in usage of edutech platforms to stimulate interest in learning Chinese, e.g. SLS, Quizlet, Padlet, Kahoot, Plickers. Have a wide pool of Chinese resources, like exam / assessment papers, Oral passages and videos, Listening Comprehension practices, topical worksheets, good composition phrases and vocubalary lists. Have been producing mostly A students in various P6 cohorts since 2009. In 2020, tutored a P6 student who was scoring 40~ marks for prelims and obtained a C (50~59) for PSLE 2020. In 2021, tutored 1 P6 student who improved from AL6 to AL3 in PSLE; 1 P6 student improved from AL7 to AL5 in PSLE. In 2022, taught 1 P6 student who improved from low AL4 in P5 SA2 to AL2 in P6 Prelims. In 2021 and 2022, have consistently taught a boy to be top in Chinese at P3 & P4 levels at a SAP school. In 2020, taught a foundation Chinese class in which students were scoring mostly grade 3 (50~69) for prelims, but 5 obtained grade 1 (>85) and 5 obtained grade 2 (70~84) for PSLE 2020. Have been an Oral examiner and PSLE marker for the past 14 years. Focuses on Oral, Composition and Paper 2 MCQ and Open Ended components, guaranteed improvement!
