I’m teaching both Chinese and higher Chinese. Average improve 3 grades within 6 months. As a former secondary chinese teacher, I am familiar with the new syllabus of textbook, the new O level exam format. I had been teaching in secondary school for 6 years. I taught two batch of Sec 4 classes who took their O level exam in 2015 and 2016. I had conducted many remedial lessons in school for those are very weak in chinese. I am willingly putting my effort in teaching those are weak in chinese with different teaching methods. I think that the most important is to engage with student more and understand how he/she thinks for chinese subject. I have enough patience to deal with those who are not keen on chinese.

Starting from 29 June 2017, I just posted to Kong Hwa School to teach primary students. Currently, I am taking P1 and P5 classes. Although it is two different age of children, I still able to handle them well. Content wise, even though i just start teaching for few weeks, i am slowly know more about the syllabus of P1 and P5 Chinese. With my past experiences of teaching sec 1 student, i know what the primary student should learn before they enter in secondary school. If parents believe in me, I will try my best to help the student improve their chinese standard.

Experienced in lower secondary and higher secondary Chinese. I was O level HCL marker in 2016. I am very familiar with new oral test format. I participated in O level Oral Test as an Examiner so I understand how to help students in scoring good grades. After that I switch to Primary school. Experienced in group tuition and 1 to 1 tuition. I taught in SCGS (Singapore Chinese Girls school) and Pei Tong Pri school I have been teaching chinese language and higher chinese tuition for 15+ years. My students' language skills range between below average and above average. *I have taught students from ACS international and The Leys (UK). The acs year 4 student took GCE O levels chinese before progressing to year 5-6 for their IB diploma programme. The student from The Leys took IGCSE chinese as a second language.* Other levels: 1. Their results ranged from B4 (with merit for oral) and A2 (Distinction for Oral) I am an ex-MOE trained teacher. After leaving the service, I have been specialising in teaching students with poor foundation, especially in oral exams, composition and comprehension. I am well equipped with the knowledge of the new syllabus as well as a set of teaching skills for transition from F2F to online lessons whenever is needed. We will work on word recognition, grammar and daily conversation, setting a good foundation for speaking and writing with less grammatical error. So, the lesson will be a protected time where the student gets to listen and speak Chinese during the lesson. Students will also learn grammar during lessons and apply writing techniques to expand their content while writing sentences and compositions. We follow the PSLE timeline to train students for all aspects of the language exam. As for the secondary level, I spend time on email writing, composition question analysis and oral exam skills based on social issues. We cover contextual knowledge through discussion, so the student can apply them in their writing or conversation. I also cover guidance on non weighted assessment

There are improvements of grades from fail to pass, and one have yet to pass, but that I took after mid year last year, have yet to pass but shown interest in the subject and shown improvement.
