I am an Australian qualified lawyer who has a strong command of the English language. I am also familiar with the Singapore syllabus having completed my studies up to A-levels here at Raffles Junior College. Passionate about effective communication, I approach teaching English and creative writing in an unconventional way - I will initially program the mind of your child in such a way that they will be able to easily convey their ideas, thought process as well images into words. Next I will assist your child in fine tuning these words and bringing structure to this process so he/she is able to eventually speak and write with ease, maturity and confidence. Most importantly, your child will find learning English fun, engaging and expressive.

I have previously taught English and Science to secondary school students at BMC academy, relief taught English, Tamil and Maths to Pri 1-4 students at Marsiling primary school. Additionally I have home tutored English and Maths for a period of 6 months to a secondary 2 student. My Education background is as follows:
- Graduate diploma in legal practice & admitted Australian lawyer
- Bachelor of Law/Commerce at the University of Queensland (recognised university), Australia
- GCE 'A' level at Raffles Junior College, Singapore
- GCE 'O' level at Anderson Secondary School - Obtained As in all 8 subjects pursued including English, Maths, Science subjects, Higher Tamil

I have 15 years of private tuition experience, teaching mainly Mathematics and Chemistry. Strategy: A firm believer of effective learning, I pay attention to the student's strengths and weaknesses so as to draw up unique lesson plans - focal points constantly revised along with moving targets. I impart confidence, curiosity, and creativity to my students to encourage independent learning. Track Record: Most of my students got A grade for H2 Mathematics and H2 Chemistry; a few got B grade. I have had two students who failed GCE 'A' Levels on their independent attempts but ended up passing with C grade under my care. Inspiration: Some of my students went on to major in Mathematics, Engineering, and Computing. Other Teaching Experiences: I served as (undergraduate) teaching assistant for the module ST2334 Probability & Statistics in NUS. I have tutored over 300 students in classroom-style, and provided one-on-one consultation. My rating was higher than that of the average faculty member. I was also lead peer tutor in Anderson Junior College, helping under-performing classmates with their school work.
