I personally have experience teaching my younger sister, who is now primary 5. She had trouble learning math and her grades were not satisfactory at all. I started giving actual sit down lessons with her and her grades improved drastically from a mere pass to 89! Besides her effort put into revision, i believe that my teaching has helped her understand math so much more. Despite being someone that graduated from JC, i am able to put myself in their shoes, and explain to them in simple terms. Model working for example, is something that is rather hard for someone who has learnt algebra to explain, however after many lessons with my sister, i feel like i have mastered it.
