-Currently teaching a Sec 4 NA student who will be taking her O level Maths 1 year ahead of her peers.Started teaching her when she failed her prelims during PSLE badly (with only 2 months to PSLE ) and her parents had requested for help to get her into secondary school. She entered into NA stream with borderline pass and with coaching and encouragement she is now the top student in her cohort and very confident in all her subjects.

-Taught a Primary 2 student who has behavioural problem and multiple tutors before me. I realised it was due to the fact that he had no basic knowledge of reading and writing from a young age.Tutored him and his older sister,who both did very well for PSLE and are now coping well in secondary school

Have taught many students from Primary-O Level Maths ,English & Science with proven results. Am able to build a good rapport with my students so that they are more open to asking questions and clarifying their doubts.

I believe there are 3 main reasons why students do not excel in their examinations:
1) Students rush to read the exam questions, do not understand the question properly, thereby writing the wrong answers
2) Teachers do not break down the complex concepts into simple topics for students to grasp and understand more easily. Very little real life examples and illustrative graphs in their teaching material
3) Students spend too much time in difficult questions and have little time for the remaining questions.

I teach topics with many illustrative graphs and real-life examples and I have more than 3 year experience teaching JC students. They are from AJC, SAJC, meridian JC. They were having C-D and most of them get A-B during their final exam & A level results.

I have had teaching experience through 1 to 1 private home tuition where I taught various upper secondary subjects that include physics, chemistry, biology, additional mathematics and elementary mathematics. I also had the opportunity to teach group tuition for primary 2, 3, and 4 mathematics at a RC tuition center. The part that I find most satisfying about teaching is seeing your students outperform themselves and gain personal interest in the subject they initially dread to study.

My latest student was a secondary 4 student who I taught combined(Phy/Chem), and after having tuition with me she obtained an A1 for her GCE O levels.
