I have no experience but am committed to every job/ task assignment I choose to take up. After volunteering in Nepal (teaching business skills to children ages 11-18), I discovered that I have a more hands-on teaching style. The focus is on helping the student to grasp a strong foundation using analogies and models that helps the student to visualise problems. The aim is to allow the student to be able to learn independently and able to understand new concepts by himself/ herself eventually.

After graduating from NUS, I worked in the information technology industry for 10 years before becoming a home-maker in 2003.
I personally taught and guided my children throughout their preschool and primary school years. They had consistently performed well and were always among the top 5% in their primary school. They have since proceeded to the IP program in IP secondary schools.

I have been teaching in River Valley High for 3 years and ACS(International )School for the last 8 years. More than half the students in my class have achieved distinctions for their IGCSE Literature and English language.

For IB, I have coached students to achieve 6 and 7s with half my class scoring 6 for IB language and Literature in the 2016 exams.
I taught the IB in ACS (International) last year. Currently on maternity leave. I am still employed in the school.

I have 4 years of teaching experience. I have done several home tution assignments for subjects Math, Eng Sci and Tamil across all the 6 primary levels (P1-P6). My teaching standards is appreciated by parents as i prefer 1 to 1 tution for kids. I never try to squeeze in all the students in one class, for my own profit. Hence there has also definitely been grade improvements from my students as most of them have stick with me for more than 2 years now already. For instance Math and Sci for a P4 student of mine has jumped grades from low C to high B, missed A by a few marks only. I have also given tution to a P6 student who needed help in Sci at the peak of her PSLE exam and made her jump from a high C to an A grade. These are some examples for you. I have also taught in West View Primary school as an intern. I have given relief classes for all the subjects on a regular basis across all the 6 levels. Currently am a part time tutor at Tamilcube learning center, teaching tamil for group students. There will be about 5 to 6 students in each class. My tution students are from schools like De sella Primary, Fuha Primary, Concord Primary schools
