I have graduated from NTU with a Bachelor Degree (2nd upper) in Mechanical Engineering. I started tutoring as a volunteer at a social service center and from that experience, I have decided to be a tutor.
For the past 5 years, I have tutored students in secondary school math, O level E math, A math and Physics. The students I have tutored are mainly struggling to pass their exams and have lost interest in the subject. To help the students, we will go through the basics and when solving questions, I will explain each step when necessary. As a tutor, I try to know the students better and share some experiences from my school days. For weaker students, I do help them with them with their school work outside of the tuition.

I have experience in teaching primary students and secondary students for Maths and Science subjects for several years. I started off with tutoring primary level Maths and Science at first and for the past 6 years, I have been focusing in tutoring lower and upper secondary students mainly for Lower sec Maths, Lower sec Science, E Maths, A Maths, Chemistry and Physics subjects and familiarising with the syllabus and knowing the important points that the students should look out for to prepare for their test or examinations. I also have helped the students in improving on their question answering and analytical skills and understanding of their respective concepts that they need help in with the many years of experience that I have.

I have experience teaching students with dyslexia and slow learning abilities as well.

For the past years, I had taught several O Levels students in various maths and science subjects, N Level student for E Maths, A Maths and Comb Sci(Chem/Phy) as well as lower secondary students and upper primary students.

Most of my O Level students who were under me got A1/A2 for E Maths, A1-B3 for A Maths and A1-A2 for Combined Sciences. Most of my N Level students achieve A1-A2 for their combined science subject and A1-B3 for their maths subjects.

My PSLE students achieve As or Bs for their Maths and Science for their examinations. Majority of my students whom I have taught were either borderline or underperforming when I first met them, hence I mainly focus on gradual sustainable progress and advise them accordingly with their work to achieve the stipulated goals. I will help them to gain confidence in the weak subjects and once they are comfortable with the normal difficulty questions, I will challenge them with the harder ones to prepare them for the major examinations. I will provide some necessary notes and practice materials and will always prepare them prior each lesson so as I can keep track on their progress with their concepts and revision.
