Having volunteered as a language teacher at schools with special need, I am also an adept at providing tuition across spectra of students,

I will be more than willing to inculcate the difficult task of loving to write and read to your children, along with keeping up with the syllables. Having taught more than fifty odd children over the span of four years, I am able to identify the child's language needs immediately and we will instead focus on precision drills to bring up their foundation to a mastery level - this has proven to consistently score top grades in both GCE and American college exams.

If you'd like my backstory, let's start off with academic: I was a bad learner when much younger, so my grades were correspondingly worse. But as I aged and transitioned to secondary school, I painfully realised I was not a bad learner; I was simply learning wrongly. It hence struck me that not everyone learns the same.

Inspired by the same vein, I ventured to tutor my classmates in English as they would with my failing grades in STEM subjects. Things got a tad better, and one after another, I found myself writing an application to the all-prestigious Duke University in the United States - from which I graduated with a 4.82 GPA (it's out of 5 in the states). I'm currently on a sabbatical break doing freelance anthropology with various institutes and neuromarketing/psychological marketing with some of the largest orgnisations in the world; I took a break from tutoring a while ago, but have incidentally rediscovered the same passion that ignited me years ago, and so here I am.

I specialise in teaching Chinese at all levels and have experience in delivering my lessons. Being a native Chinese speaker who was born in China and the formal President of my school Chinese Drama Club and Chinese Literature student, my foundation and passion for Chinese Language is strong. My style of teaching is very flexible and can be adjusted based on my assessment on the students. I can be strict and at the same time entertaining in delivering my lesson contents. I like to follow my plan and is willing to spend extra time to fulfill my lesson objectives before ending the lessons.
I do believe in hardwork and dislike the mentality where students who claim they cannot do well because of their stupidness.

My teaching philosophy is simple, i will not give up on any student unless the he gives up himself. I like to make friends with all my students such that they do not feel restrained and stressed during my class.

I have taught Malay students Chinese language and they like the way i conduct my lessons. Also, i have Chinese students who came up to be top student in his class for Chinese Composition during the tests after my guidance and teachings.

Teaching is one of my passion, i am glad to see my students excel in the subject i have taught and helped them.

I have done home tuition since year 2010 to 1 student who took GCE N Levels in Science (Phy/Chem) and her grades have improved from U to 1. After that, from year 2011 to 2016, I have been a full time tutor in Mindlab International where I taught IGCSE Chemistry and Mathematics, as well as IB SL/HL Chemistry. Many students scored grades of 7 from 2 or 3. Two of them are now studying the course of Medicine in NUS. For the past 6 years, I have taken various students from ACS Independent/ International, Hwa Chong International and now Dimension International. For IB/IGCSE, I have taught Chemistry and all have improved from grades 2-4 to grades 5-7. Many scored 6-7 For a few students, I even teach them Mathematics Now, I'm a lecturer for Dimensions International College where I teach GCE O level Elementary Mathematics, Chemistry and GCE A level Chemistry, which several students of mine have scored A.
