I have around one year of experience in giving tuition. I am most comfortable with giving tuition for O Level English, although I have also given tuition for other subjects (e.g. O Level Biology and Combined Humanities).

In 2012, I tutored seven Secondary 4 students in English and Biology for more than 4 months. Most of the students managed to improve their scores by at least one grade.

I also tutored one Secondary 4 student in English for more than 9 months, in 2016; which helped to improve the student's grade from B4 to A2.

I usually teach my students in advance and explain to them clearly to ensure that they understand. I will concentrate on areas that they need more time to grasp and I believe that it is more effective to provide them the right material to practice and improve on the areas that they are weak in.

I am a friendly and patient teacher, but if the student gets mischievous I will be stern with them. I enjoy teaching primary school students.

I have been teaching tuition part time since my secondary school year. I was a full time tutor from year 2000 to year 2010 teaching mainly upper primary students on Mathematics and Science, 1 to 1, as well as group tuition. After that I took a break to take care of my own children.

Have been teaching English for the past 7 years. Currently teaching another Sec 4 O level student English as well. Currently doing post graduate at NUS for social work. I specialise in teaching English to both Secondary and Primary school students. Recent students from manjusri secondary, punggol secondary school, punggol view primary, edgefield secondary school. One of them (Sec 5 - O levels) - improved from a C6 (in final year exams) to a B3 (for O levels), the other scored a B4, but was failing in school. Sec 5 O levels too I started teaching English in 2015 to 2 sec 1 students. Their grades were bordering on a C6-C5 and managed to improve to at least a B3 after 2-3 months of lessons with me. One of them even managed to top his cohort several times for continuous writing. I have seen them through 3 years in secondary school and aim to do so till their national exams I aim to deliver my lessons in an enjoyable yet challenging environment to encourage my students to think deeper about different issues. I provide specially curated reading materials to students on a monthly basis. We will juggle and strike a balance between the number of practices for both paper 1 and 2. Of course, more focus will be placed on the student's weaker areas as well.
