I am passionate about languages in general, particularly the English Language and English Literature. Literature has always been my favourite subject in school because of the amount of thinking needed to approach a text or question. Contrary to what most students of even parents believe, Literature is not airy-fairy. It requires logic and critical thinking. For example, the analysis of a sentence consists of the literary device and how it conveys meaning(Theme). The themes that are present in the texts should not be studied in isolation but instead, need to be linked together, forming a 'web'. Such themes include, governance, revenge, love, compassion, private and public morality, which are very relevant to our world even today.

Through my many years of tutelage under patient and experienced school teachers and tuition teachers, I have picked up the skeletal form on how to guide my prospective students in improving their English skills. These include writing, clarity of expression, generation of ideas and critical thinking, all of which which, when honed properly, would take them through their academic years and even worklife. I cannot say that I am a master at such skills yet. In fact, I have a lot more to learn since I only completed my A levels. However, I am willing to put in my utmost effort to help my students, pin point their problems try different methods to engage them to take interests in the subject and learn.
