I was teaching at National JC, Jurong JC, and CHIJ, specialising in O level English and Literature, A-level General Paper Now tutoring fulltime to Sec & JC students. I was giving tuition to my peers even when I was in St Nicholas Girls for Eng n Lit. Also GP and Lit whilst in NJC. Tutored students ranging in ages from Pri to JC levels n also adult learners. Also taught adults from China n Msia conversational English. Students came from many schools. Eg, Catholic High, Tg Katong, Bt Batok Sec, PJC, NJC, NYJC etc. Most improved by at least 2 grades after tuition.

I am a patient tutor who strive to help students improve and deepen their understanding of Maths concepts. My teaching approach would be: -Applying maths heuristics in problem solving -Providing guidance in understanding problem sum and apply modeling technique to problem solving -Evaluate and assess students performances constantly.


Achievements: Seen improvements in Maths concepts with better understanding in problem solving for all students. Significant improvements made to a student (Anchor Green Pri School) whom I have taught for 2 years since P5. Her grade has improved from D to achieving B in PSLE. Another P6 student whom I have only taught for 5 months improved her grades from D to C.

I'm a full-time tutor specialized in A Level & IB Math, existing students from Australia International School, RI, HCI, VJC, TJC, over 10 years of teaching experience, ex-Asean Scholar, Member of Mensa Singapore. Currently I have one taking IB HL from Australia International School, my other existing students are taking SG A level. Last 3 years, I have taught another 2 students taking IB HL, with both scoring 6. I am grateful to Mr Kuah who has helped me build a good foundation in Mathematics and hence, allowing me to attain an A grade in the A-Level Mathematics Examination. Leong Jun Wei: Mr Kuah is very clear in explaining the general approaches to solve questions. Found it much easier to understand the important concepts under his guidance and really appreciate the time he takes to help me outside of lesson time via whatsapp. I have achieved tremendous improvement in my results with his patient guidance.

I achieved 'Best In Higher Chinese' award in secondary school. and 'Best In Written Communication in Chinese I' in Polytechnic. I major in Chinese Studies and will be graduating from Ngee Ann Polytechnic Chinese Studies(Education) in May. In my course of study, I have learned a variety of modules which is relevant to teaching and interacting with children. I am a High School Diploma holder. I also took SATs and I scored among the top 96%. My forte is English. I have managed to successfully teach a Primary 5 student how to break down the exam paper and what techniques to apply when performing in the exam. The student was from temasek primary school. Initial score 73, final score 84 Participated in an Institute for Cultural Communicators (ICC) 2-day speech training program in 2015. The training included practice in radio broadcasting, brainstorming solutions for potential communication problems (Eg. language barriers), and interpretation of children stories (how to invoke emotion and portray different characters as you narrate the story)
