I do not have actual tutoring however I do have some mentoring experiences as I have mentored my secondary school juniors on their school work before. I was also an instructor to secondary schools to conduct workshop and hence is comfortable with interacting with secondary school students. I also worked as a teaching assistant before as an odd job in a student care center were I guided primary school children on their homework.

I graduated from Jurong Secondary School in 2015, with a subject combination of English, Elementary Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Chinese, Higher Chinese and Combined Humanities (social studies and geography). I have gotten As in E Math, Chinese, biology and combined humanities and Bs for the other subjects. I subsequently went on to Singapore Polytechnic to complete my diploma in Maritime Business and is now waiting for university to start in August where I will pursue my Bachelor in History in NTU.

Allied Educator at East Spring Primary School for 2 years specialising in Learning and Behavioral Support. Interacted with kids with mild special needs, e.g. Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities. Conducted one to one and small group teaching with students focusing on EMS concept revision and learning skills on how to understand and tackle exam questions. Taught Dyslexia English Remediation, Phonics, and paired reading. 11 month attachment at Elias Park Primary and a 10 week teaching practicum at White Sands Primary. Comfortable with teaching children and supported kids with learning disabilities in class and also on a one-to-one basis. Conducted small group tutoring lessons on Foundation Science for the weaker upper primary students. Conducted daily reading programs with lower primary students who were dyslexic and with slower processing abilities to improve their English and Phonics, and pull-out lessons in Foundation Math for upper primary students. Specialize in English and Science due to wider exposure on the foundation knowledge and concept understanding of study majors. English - able to teach composition and oral skills on top of the usual curriculum. Science - able to teach proper phrasing skills and sentence construction in the open-ended section together with concept application. I am a fulltime Secondary school teacher with 6 years of experience. Passionate in delivering holistic education through effective teaching pedagogies, Character and Citizenship Education (CCE), and ICT expertise. I am currently teaching as flexi adjunct in Yuhua Secondary school. 6 years of full-time teaching and 3 years of FAJT. Previously teaching English and SS in school. Currently teaching SS only in school, but tutoring English as well outside. All 3 students of mine last year scored distinction for O-level. 2 of them had English tuition with me, scoring B4 previously. The last student went from failing SS to scoring a distinction in Combined Humanities.
