I have tutored English for primary and secondary school students for 2 years. Many of my students have improved by at least 1 grade in their exams through my guidance. In addition to that, I have tutored Junior College students H1 General Paper and H1/H2 Economics in the weeks leading up to A levels. All of them went from barely passing these subjects in their preliminary exams to getting at least a 'B' grade in A levels. I am familiar with the current syllabus for all the subjects I intend to tutor. In my years of tutoring, I had gotten the opportunity to teach students with differing learning styles. As a result, I am able to adapt and find a teaching method that is most suitable for them, and this will allow my students to learn at a pace that is most comfortable for them. In terms of qualifications, I attained an A1 for English Language in O levels and an 'A' for General Paper and H2 Economics in A levels. These are subjects that I was consistently top in class at and I know the methods and techniques required to score well for these subjects.

I have experience teaching classmates in English, where he improved to an A in the PSLE. I have achieved stellar grades throughout academic life and strongly believe in studying smart and critical thinking, which I have applied in my personal studies. I will share tips and tricks on how to answer exam papers as knowing the content alone, although important, is definitely not enough to score good grades. I understand the education system very well since I am an undergraduate and still in the system. I can understand the struggles students face since I have personally faced them before and can quickly help them get over difficulties without wasting time trying since I already have the experience.

I have about 2 years experience teaching Primary 1 to 6 math and science . I have taught about 3 student who were very weak in the subjects as they couldnt catch up with class. After the tuition and together with their hard work, they manage to catch up with class and get out of their struggle. Im glad to see them striving in school now and even enjoy learning the subjects they previously was struggling in.

I tutored my cousin P5-P6 math, he initially scored around borderline passes, but eventually obtained AL4 for math (76 & above) in his PSLE I like to believe that tutors should understand their students' needs well and students should feel comfortable with their tutor. Hence I listen well to students to ensure they are heard. Peer tutored mathematics in junior college during a school programme and feedback was that I delivered the learning objectives and concepts clearly and concisely. Further honed my interpersonal skills through working at a tuition centre and communicated with students and parents. I am confident that with my observance, I am able to spot my students' weaknesses and work on them to help my students improve consistently, just like me, who may appear to score not as well, but have in fact improved with a big jump. Thus, I can relate to many students who may not do well initially. I love to encompass hands-on learning as much as I can, while also taking into account my students' learning styles. Rest assured I can be optimistic to cheer on my students as well so that they will feel encouraged to brave their subjects and not give up.

I am currently working as an engineer, and I wish to have some part time tuition job for extra income. I enjoy sharing knowledge with others, and I am always patient in teaching. For me, gaining the interest to learn is far more important than learning itself. I am always kind and easy going, and is always flexible. I had 1 year of teaching experience in a tuition center, teaching Science, Mathematics, Chinese, and History for primary 5 and primary 6 students. My style of teaching is always let students try, under my guidance, and i believe this will help them to to boost thier thinking skills. This helps them to think through the question if they face similar question in the future. I am always patient with students, because i know that not every students are perfect, but every students can at their very best. Sometime, i will give some minor awards to students if they achieve something in academic, this is to boost their interest in studying. I always allow students to ask me question via whatapps or other pathway, even not during the time of tuition. I will always try my best to answer them when I am free. I enjoy teaching, hence, I hope my students will enjoy learning as well.

I have a master’s degree from Columbia University (USA) and I have tutored at the primary school level for 10 years. As a recipient of awards and scholarships such as the Prime Minister's Book Prize and the NUS Undergraduate (Merit) Scholarship, I am academically-driven and have consistently performed well in school and university. I have also had extensive tutoring experience from regular volunteering at Casa Clementi and with the National Youth Council to coach primary and lower secondary school students in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science and Tamil. Many students that I have coached have witnessed an improvement of at least 1 letter grade (e.g.: B to A). On the professional front, I have undertaken several internships and demonstrated my ability to work well independently and in group settings.
