As I teach around my area, they came from neighborhood schools, teaching subjects like English Math and Science. 1. 3 of my PSLE kids scored all As, with their initial results being Cs and just passing grades (EMSC) 2. 2 sec 2 girls teaching them science and math, getting only C5 and C6, and finally gotten B3 and A2 grades. 3. P3 girl failed English and Math initially, but now scoring As for both subjects. 4. P6 boy who was barely passing Chinese initially, managed to get an A for Chinese in the end. Currently teaching 1 P3 girl and 3 PSLE children in English, math and sciences and have got As.

I scored straight As for A levels (90/90) I currently have both sec4 and sec1 physics tutees. Student 1 from Kent Ridge Secondary school, improved from 30+ to 70+ (Sec3) Previous student from AMKSS (Sec4), scored straight As for subjects taught (A/E Math, Chem, Phy) I am a proud alumnus of the Joint Integrated Programme offered by Catholic High School (Class of 2016) and Eunoia Junior College (Class of 2018). I scored straight A1s for my Mathematics (E/A Math) and Sciences (Physics/ Chemistry) for my Year 4 O-level equivalent EoY exams in 2016 as well as AAAA/AA (4 H2s PCME, 90/90 Rank Points) for my GCSE A levels in 2018. In addition to that, I have been consistently being amongst the top of the cohort in school, and being on the annual Dean’s List for academic excellence and all-rounded development is a testament of my academic ability. Having said that, why choose me over other tutors? I have been coaching secondary school students (both lower and upper secondary) during the past 4 years. I specialise in the Sciences (Physics/ Chemistry) and Mathematics (A/E Math). Through the past few years of coaching, I realise the main reason why many students don’t achieve their desired results despite putting in effort is due to the fact that they are not able to identify the important concepts from the sea of information presented to them and hence are unable to perform during exams. Having just recently graduated from school, I am also able to put myself in the shoes of students – understanding what the common misconceptions are, their trains of thought. From there, I am well-positioned in guiding students to understand the concepts well. Also, for the Sciences, I personally believe and have applied a structured method of memorising key concepts and information, a skill set I hope to impart to my tutees. I believe that with a strong foundation of concepts compiled with a structured method of memorisation, doing well in exams would be a breeze. With the above-mentioned factors, I believe that I am able to help your child score during examinations. How will lessons be conducted? I will be going through the respective chapter in detail, pointing out the key concepts and helping your child with a chapter summary on the concepts to take note of (including formulae, definitions, and easy ways to memorise these information). I believe in creating meaningful summarised notes for easy revision in the future, without having to sieve through the whole set of notes/textbook for the important concepts again. From then, I would be providing topical revision material (TYS/ selected assessment questions) to reinforce these concepts with your child. Also, your child can feel free to consult me on his/her school homework and I am more than glad to help them with their assignments.

Hence it is important to equip students with the necessary skills to pursue the successes that they deserve in the future. Analytic skills and a right mindset are two of the important qualities that my students will bring with them when they graduate from my classes. I recognise that every student is different and a generic approach to teaching can never address the needs of all the students. Therefore, I am a big advocate for the learner centred approach to teaching. My one to one lessons are highly customised to address the difficulties each student may have. My face to face lessons not only comprise of pen and paper activities. Hands on activities are also available for students who need a more varied teaching method to better understand the subject.

Hello, I am David, a part time math and science tutor. I graduated from VJC in 2019 and was one of the top students in my cohort, attaining a 96 percentile overall. My goal is to extend a helping hand to help students out there who are experiencing the same worries as I did when I was nearing my A levels. I would like to share my studying techniques with you, making learning math and science easier, hoping that my students can build a stronger interest for these subjects. I have experience in teaching 2 other O level students and 2 primary school students. I promise that with my passion for the subjects, learning will be interesting and enjoyable. I am very grateful that one of my pri schl student, who is mildly dyslexic, manage to improve academically in a mere 2 months as I took over to prepare him for his eoy exams During the usual 90min lesson, I plan to spend the first 30-45 minutes teaching content using textbooks and notes which i personally crafted. The next 45-60 minutes will be spent doing practices from exercise books and past year papers from top schools in Singapore. My teaching methodology is that i strongly believe that every student has the ability to excel in a particular subject with the right guidance and hardwork and it is my job to guide them and help my students build a strong foundation in math and science so that they can grasp what their school teachers are teaching. I understand that every student learns at a different pace and have their own preferred way of learning , thus i will craft my lesson to best suit the needs of my students so that they can improve under me
